A Date

"Don't feed Vision anything weird." Tony looked at Li Nian lying in the lab pod and sighed. "I finally managed to make time for Potts."

There were bound to be a few peaceful days. Tony had wanted to spend a wonderful weekend with Pepper, only for Steve to call him back, saying Vision had malfunctioned. Tony had been so alarmed that he hurriedly declined Pepper's dinner invitation and rushed back to the base, afraid Li Nian would turn into a second Ultron.

"We have no idea why Vision had strawberry jam and pineapple inside his body. It's simply bizarre." Natasha held her forehead, her face full of confusion, while Wanda's cheeks had already turned red as she stood uneasily to one side.

"Will he be in any danger?" Wanda asked worriedly.

Tony gave Wanda a meaningful look. "Not now, and not in the future. But it's best not to feed human food to Vision anymore. After all, he... isn't really human."

Li Nian stepped out of the lab pod and moved his body. He was a little stiff, but it did not affect his functioning.

"Sorry..." Li Nian said softly. "I was just curious what your food was like. Everything looked so exquisite in the pictures, and I wanted to taste it with my mouth too."

Tony said earnestly, "You'd better not do that again. Your body's components are far too complex. Cleaning and rearranging millions of neural components is a real hassle..."

"God knows how Ultron even made this body."

Steve stood nearby with his arms folded. "Since Vision has returned to normal, let's go take care of our own business."

"Yeah." Li Nian nodded. To be honest, if the captain had not stopped him back then, he was afraid he did not know what he might have done.

"Nick Fury is still tracking down Hydra's remnants. He asked Natasha and me for help not long ago, so we'll probably be busy again for a while."

Tony nodded, turned, and left the base to get into his luxury car. He still had a date with Pepper. He had no time to investigate such insignificant people; the spy chief could handle that sort of thing.

Steve and Natasha left together as well, leaving only Wanda and Li Nian behind.

Oh, right. Pietro had helped the captain subdue Li Nian earlier, but Li Nian had accidentally struck him in the back of the head and knocked him out again. He was currently lying in his room.

"Um... I'm sorry... I didn't think it would turn out like this." Wanda nervously tugged at the hem of her clothes, looking at Li Nian awkwardly.

"It's okay, Wanda." Li Nian looked at Wanda's beautiful face. She was simply adorable.

The Mind Stone on Li Nian's forehead flashed. A yellow light instantly covered his entire body, and before Wanda's astonished eyes, his red-and-green metallic body became no different from that of a human.

Li Nian turned his head and looked at his reflection in the nearby glass, unable to stop himself from sighing inwardly. "Sure enough, it's Paul's face. Even though Vision was played by him, using someone else's face and body still feels strange."

Wanda looked him up and down in surprise, her little hands seeming ready to reach out and touch him at any moment.

"I only changed my appearance. You can think of it as an illusion," Li Nian said. He had now become extremely proficient with Vision's abilities. Compared to when he had just been born and fought Ultron, he was certainly no longer at a disadvantage. At the very least, Ultron would not be able to grab him by the throat again.

"Ultron..."

"Nothing much seems to have happened lately," Wanda's gentle voice reached Li Nian's ears, pulling him out of his thoughts.

"Yeah."

The two fell into a strange atmosphere, quiet and awkward.

"Want to go out and have a look?" Li Nian suggested.

"Hm?" Wanda raised her head and looked at Li Nian blankly.

"To New York, Chicago, or San Francisco. It's not too late yet. We can go shopping and look at some fun things. It's better than staying in the base watching Prison Break."

"Okay!" Wanda happily agreed with Li Nian's suggestion. No girl could refuse an invitation to go shopping.

Wanda's parents had died when she was very young. When she got a little older, she wandered everywhere with her brother, taking part in all kinds of protests and living without a fixed home. It was only after Hydra took them away that their superpowers were truly awakened.

Naturally, there had been no time in that kind of life for shopping or sightseeing. Even having enough to eat had been a problem.

Li Nian felt a little sorry for the girl before him. In his previous life, girls her age should have been enjoying life, spending money on pretty clothes, and dressing themselves up.

Fortunately, Wanda and Pietro were now supported by Tony, so they could spend money freely without worrying about the amount.

So Li Nian bought tickets to San Francisco, intending to take Wanda on a proper outing. First class, the best hotel—anyway, it was Tony's money, and Li Nian did not feel the slightest bit bad about spending it.

"So this is San Francisco!" From the Fairmont Hotel, the setting sun could be seen slowly sinking. Li Nian stood on the balcony, taking in the unique beauty of the view.

"Wanda..."

"Do you want to go eat?" Wanda asked casually, then seemed to realize something and hurriedly waved her hands. "Sorry... I forgot you can't eat."

"It's okay." Li Nian smiled softly. "There are many famous restaurants here. I can accompany you and let you try them. Even the hotel food is quite good."

Wanda nodded, though she still asked worriedly, "Is it really okay? What if..."

"No, I'll just watch you eat. A beautiful sight is a feast in itself. Just looking at you fills me up."

"Wouldn't that seem strange?" Wanda covered her mouth and laughed softly. She had not expected a robot to be so good with sweet talk.

The two strolled through the streets of San Francisco. There were quite a lot of Chinese people here, and walking down the streets gave Li Nian a feeling of being home, as though it was not much different from Shanghai.

"Want to have Chinese food?" Li Nian suggested, looking at a Chinese restaurant on the corner.

"Sure, I've never had Chinese food before." Wanda agreed, walking into the restaurant side by side with Li Nian.

After they sat down, Li Nian casually ordered a few dishes, and they began chatting.

"Do you really not find it strange? Sitting in a restaurant but not eating anything..." Wanda looked around. The aroma had already drifted into her nose, making the girl's stomach growl on its own.

A blush crossed Wanda's face. She forced herself to remain composed and looked elsewhere, occasionally sneaking a glance at Li Nian. Seeing that he was merely staring blankly ahead, she could not help feeling a little disappointed.

Li Nian was not actually spacing out. He was simply searching San Francisco in his mind, and he had unexpectedly discovered something interesting.

"The food is here!"

The waiter brought the steaming dishes before them, lowered his head and said, "Please enjoy," then tactfully left.

"These chopsticks... are so hard to use!"

Wanda fumbled with the chopsticks in her hand. She spent a long time without managing to pick up a single dish, instead making a complete mess of the plates. Li Nian could not help wanting to laugh at her adorable appearance.

"Here, this is how you use chopsticks." Li Nian demonstrated for Wanda. His nimble fingers skillfully manipulated the two little wooden sticks, lightly pinching up a piece of food.

Li Nian slowly placed it in Wanda's bowl and said with a smile, "It's okay. Use them a little more, and you'll get the hang of it."

Looking at the delicious food in her bowl, Wanda could not help swallowing. She tried to pick it up with her chopsticks herself, but still failed. She secretly glanced at Li Nian, her pupils turning red. The girl actually wanted to use telekinesis to pick up the food.

"Ha ha ha..." Li Nian could not help quietly laughing at the amusing sight. Fortunately, he could control the muscular components in his face, leaving his expression unchanged.

Amid Li Nian's quiet laughter, Wanda finished the meal with flushed cheeks. At the same time, she silently vowed that she would definitely learn how to use chopsticks. She absolutely would not let him laugh at her again. Hmph!
