Background / History

Tang San arrived at Notting City Junior Soul Master Academy with Old Jack. When he nearly used a sleeve crossbow against the academy gatekeeper, Yu Xiaogang intervened and impressed him enough to become his teacher. Tang San soon agreed to serve as the practical test subject for Yu Xiaogang’s theories on Blue Silver Grass cultivation. 38 42

Dugu Bo compensated Tang San for the lost Mandala Snake with a Jade Phosphor Serpent soul ring. The ring granted Tang San both enhanced toughness and lethal venom, while Dugu Bo and Dugu Lin secretly intended the serpent rings to corrupt his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. 43 Tang San later entered Shrek Academy, where he led his companions through the Star Dou Great Forest and demonstrated considerable knowledge of soul beasts and soul-ring limits. 93 94

During the forest expedition, Tang San hunted a Man Faced Demon Spider. Although he obtained the Eight Spider Lances External Soul Bone, Dugu Lin later drugged him, surgically removed the bone, and concealed the theft by staging a Titan Giant Ape abduction and rescue. 101 104

At the Soul Master Tournament, Tang San used his poisonous Blue Silver Grass, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, Mysterious Jade Hand, hidden weapons, and a ten-thousand-year fourth soul ring to defeat Blazing Fire Academy opponents.
