Background / History
Tang San arrived at Notting City Junior Soul Master Academy with Old Jack. When he nearly used a sleeve crossbow against the academy gatekeeper, Yu Xiaogang intervened and impressed him enough to become his teacher. Tang San soon agreed to serve as the practical test subject for Yu Xiaogang’s theories on Blue Silver Grass cultivation. 38 42
Dugu Bo compensated Tang San for the lost Mandala Snake with a Jade Phosphor Serpent soul ring. The ring granted Tang San both enhanced toughness and lethal venom, while Dugu Bo and Dugu Lin secretly intended the serpent rings to corrupt his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. 43 Tang San later entered Shrek Academy, where he led his companions through the Star Dou Great Forest and demonstrated considerable knowledge of soul beasts and soul-ring limits. 93 94
During the forest expedition, Tang San hunted a Man Faced Demon Spider. Although he obtained the Eight Spider Lances External Soul Bone, Dugu Lin later drugged him, surgically removed the bone, and concealed the theft by staging a Titan Giant Ape abduction and rescue. 101 104
At the Soul Master Tournament, Tang San used his poisonous Blue Silver Grass, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, Mysterious Jade Hand, hidden weapons, and a ten-thousand-year fourth soul ring to defeat Blazing Fire Academy opponents. Pressured by Huo Wu, he publicly revealed the Clear Sky Hammer as his second Martial Soul and performed the eighty-one-strike Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer. 119 121
Dugu Lin subsequently gained Tang San’s trust by presenting himself as a kindred Twin Martial Souls wielder, guiding him to Moonlight Pavilion, and enabling his reunion with Tang Yuehua. Tang San learned that Tang Hao was the Clear Sky Douluo and that Tang Yuehua was his aunt. 122 123 Dugu Lin then supplied him with Whale Rubber, a Soul Power-raising pill, and an evil soul master cultivation method centered on devouring soul beast essence-blood. Tang San accepted the method to accelerate his growth. 124 151
Tang San was exposed during the tournament as an evil soul master after his Seven-in-One Fusion Skill revealed a repulsive evil aura. Tang Hao rescued him from Spirit Hall, then trained him for two years in the Clear Sky Sect’s ultimate techniques. 145 146 151 152 After learning that his mother was the transformed hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor, Tang San entered the Blue Silver Forest and absorbed its energy in an attempt to awaken his Martial Soul, devastating much of the forest. 152
After inheriting both the Sea God and Shura God King godhoods, Tang San openly sided with the Star Luo Empire against the merged Spirit Hall Empire. He overwhelmed Qian Renxue at first, but Bibi Dong’s speed and teleportation-based attacks pierced his heart. His apparent death ended when the Asura God King descended into his body. 213 214 215
Appearance
Tang San’s divine transformation is marked by scarlet pupils, bloody facial patterns, and a blood-red Blue Silver Emperor armor. 213
- His right cheek was scorched during his battle with Huo Wu. 121
- His Blue Silver Grass developed visible Bloodthirsty Golden Threads after his evil cultivation. 145
- He manifests twenty divine-grade soul rings after inheriting two godhoods. 214
Personality
Tang San is intensely ambitious and strength-driven. He embraces dangerous cultivation methods, secretly hunts high-level soul beasts for his second Martial Soul, and treats physical risk as an acceptable cost for rapid advancement. 124 129
He can be prideful and contemptuous toward those he considers ignorant or inferior. When Meng Yiran displayed three millennium soul rings, he initially dismissed them as a trick and had already destroyed the Phoenix-tail Crested Serpent she intended to absorb. 94 95 He also harbors deep resentment toward Dugu Lin, blaming him for concealing the secret of millennium first soul rings. 95
Despite his ruthlessness, Tang San is deeply attached to his father and receptive to those who offer him guidance or recognition. Tang Hao’s rescue and subsequent training reinforced Tang San’s determination to wield power rather than be ruled by it. 122 151
