Feng Xiaotian was recognized as the Feng Clan's sole genius heir, possessing a mutated martial soul and innate full soul power. However, he fell far behind his potential by dedicating excessive time to researching self-created soul skills rather than directly cultivating Soul Power. Dugu Lin estimated that this decision had cost him roughly ten levels of progress. 32

Dugu Bo forcibly brought the twelve-year-old Feng Xiaotian to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, using poison to keep him unconscious during the journey. There, Dugu Bo accepted him as a disciple and imposed a five-year deadline to reach rank 50, threatening to break his legs if he failed. 33 34

His first meeting with Dugu Yan immediately changed his priorities. Shocked by her rank 32 cultivation at eight and a half years old, Feng Xiaotian became infatuated with her at first sight. 33
