Driven continuously by the Turbid Tide, the gateway to the foreign domain finally tore open a slit. The living creatures within had originally seemed to complete round after round of evolution in an eternal, unchanging cycle, but now it was as if they had discovered the most exquisite prey in the world. At the same time, an instinct to break free from their cage kept urging them to flee this place, and so they surged madly toward the fissure.
Yet that fissure was far too narrow to permit so many creatures to emerge at once. Thus, they devoured and tore at one another, and at that moment, a weak, inconspicuous creature resembling a snakefish was the first to rush out.
Lin Tingzhi raised a hand and pointed. Just as the creature escaped into the open air, it was struck by a strand of Clear Vault Aura. It struggled for a moment, then shortly afterward fell back in. At that instant, the Turbid Tide broke contact with it, and the gateway that had opened by a slit slammed shut.
The snakefish had only just returned to the foreign
