Once inside the inner hall, a thought from him caused the slates he had obtained through the clues left by his adoptive father to float up and circle around him.
Given his present level, his interpretation of these ancient characters, and the High One Slates left behind by the Moqi Gods and Ipal, assembling these slates would undoubtedly be enough to create a person in one stroke, elevating an ordinary human to the level of a supernatural being.
Now that he considered it, this was tantamount to entering into an agreement with the High One. It was not like the Moqi Gods simply stealing the High One's power; in the end, the power obtained by such people had to be returned.
Moreover, the power bestowed by these slates had not truly transcended the Upper Layer and was not immortal. Thus, even if the High One possessed divinity, it would not pay attention to such things. Once the person or creature who had obtained the power perished, everything of theirs would naturally return to the High One.
Yet he had also noticed that, even with these slates, and even if this path was limited, not everyone was necessarily suited to it. At the very least, the covenants on the few slates he had found corresponded wholly to his former self. In other words, another person would have no way to use them.
