Mu Juan'an had barely stepped into the gate tower when he saw a figure identical to himself standing there. He suddenly froze in place, while the figure opposite him walked over. In an instant, the two merged into one.

This was the union of his true body and outer body, allowing him to receive all the outer body's experiences and memories.

After standing there for a moment, he digested and absorbed everything from this journey before turning around and walking deeper into the gate tower.

More than a hundred paces later, he emerged from the place. Before him lay a narrower, longer corridor with pointed arches, entirely constructed of golden wood. His gaze could stretch along it into the far distance, while streams of light like lightning flickered past from time to time on either side of the passage.

He raised a finger and tapped between his brows. The scenery swayed, and he was already standing at the end of the corridor. He drew a breath and stepped out.

He arrived atop a broad platform surrounded on all sides by void. Above him stood three Daoists with immortal bearing, each atop one of three towering spires arranged in a ring, gazing down from on high.

He composed himself and performed a Daoist salute. "Mu Juan'an of the direct lineage greets the three clan elders."

The old Daoist in the center said slowly, "Mu Juan'an of the direct lineage, report the course of this journey."

Mu Juan'an answered in assent and proceeded to recount in detail everything he had experienced during the journey. He then produced a long scroll and said, "The written account is here."

After the three old Daoists had read it, they nodded to one another. The old Daoist in the center pointed a finger, and the scroll
