Zhang Yu silently sensed that his fundamental Dao method had become ever clearer. It was like the convergence of ten thousand streams, finally nearing the moment when they would gather into rivers and seas.
He had once entertained a conjecture. Bai Wang and Qing Shuo were both the same as him and yet different; both could be considered to possess Dao methods of their own. Could they, then, also evolve fundamental Dao methods?
Now that he had summoned the two of them, and with his increasingly profound perception, he felt that once his own fundamental Dao method had fully evolved, the two might likewise be able to evolve their own fundamental Dao methods.
Naturally, this still depended on his own choice. After all, these two were guided by him. Whether they would proceed down this path depended entirely on his will.
Yet pursuing the fundamental in all things differed from seeking unity within oneself. If he truly chose this path, the difficulty of crossing over to the upper realm would undoubtedly become even greater.
But the benefits would surely be greater as well.
After considering it, he knew that if it were possible, he certainly would not give it up. Others had no such opportunity in their Dao methods. Since he did, he naturally had to give it a try.
Moreover, opening up another fundamental Dao method would deepen his understanding of the Dao method still further. Although seeking completeness in every Dao would surely be fraught with difficulties, if his Dao heart shrank back out of fear of hardship, climbing ever higher would likely become even harder.
What was more, this was more in accord with his true heart. If he ascended while leaving flaws behind, no matter how he thought of it, he would not feel at ease.
