After this move, the branches above seemed unable to bear such weight, and the jade fruit formed by his Divine Void Land immediately fell from them.
Daoist Gao understood clearly that within the Divine Void Land, there was not only a contest of Dao techniques, but also reflections of consciousness. Thus, any seemingly inconceivable event could occur, and certain reflections could in turn influence the outcome.
For instance, he was now a fruit upon a tree—this was the opponent's move. If he failed to respond in time, he would fall under the other party's restraints. But if he fell into the earth, it would signify being planted anew and gaining new life. Then there would be a great chance for him to break free from this predicament.
For although time did not flow within the Divine Void Land, there were still rises and falls, birth and extinction. So long as one conformed to, or made sound use of, the principles of birth and extinction, one could borrow their momentum to escape danger or strike at an opponent.
