Zhang Yu stepped into that expanse of radiance. Within it, he felt his thoughts and perceptions extending outward without end.

He did not deliberately contemplate it. With a turn of his mind, he naturally understood all manner of Upper Layer principles, as if these were things he had always been meant to understand.
The place where he now stood, the place he acknowledged, was the domain of his self, the heaven of his freedom. The places stretching outward, the places his thoughts and perceptions could reach, and the places where his self traveled forth and returned—these were the Origin Void.
So long as he remained here, his name would remain here. And if his name remained here, then he would abide eternally.
His fundamental Dao method extended outward; it could be said to be everywhere, reaching everywhere. Those rays of light intermingled with his Dao method, and his self and the heavenly Dao continuously dissolved and questioned one another. He explored the Dao method through this, and the Dao method gave its response.
Having reached this step, he had cast off the restraints of the heavenly Dao and gained the power to contend against it.
If Daoist Qiuquan had entrusted himself to the void and stood beneath the heavenly Dao, then he now entrusted his self to himself and stood alongside the heavenly Dao.
Yet this did not mean he could completely overwhelm the heavenly Dao. Like an island continent floating upon a vast ocean, if he wished to make the heavenly Dao turn according to his will, he needed to immerse his own Dao method within it, contend against
