Origin Void had been influenced by Great Chaos. The innate primordial spirits emerged from it, then returned to it, so their path had in fact remained consistent from beginning to end. Every step they took left traces to follow and adhered to certain principles.

The earliest innate spirits had existed for an exceedingly long time after their birth, and they had already attained the Dao before the Origin Xia World Domain truly took shape. Only afterward did they pass down all manner of Dao methods. At that time, they had already established the strategy of evolving myriad ages and eliminating every variable.

Their projections, too, appeared only after the evolution of myriad ages began. Some who gained fortuitous opportunities eventually achieved the Dao methods within the various worlds.

Thus, one could also see the difference between the two. The great powers of Origin Xia's Upper Layer had not attained achievement through the worlds. Naturally, they advanced Dao methods from above to below.

Celestial Xia's Controllers, however, had risen through the worlds, ascending to the Upper Layer together with all cultivators. Thus, the path they chose naturally proceeded from below to above.

In Zhang Yu's view, the innate spirits followed the Dao completely, step by step and rule by rule, without the slightest deviation. The earlier they had come into being, the more so this was true.

To those innate spirits who had attained the Dao long ago, as long as they proceeded in proper order, they would one day gain the Great Dao. Changes in heavenly workings, however, meant that countless variables would arise from such an outcome, obstructing their plucking of the Dao Fruit. Eliminating variables was therefore only natural.
