Tai Su's aura arrived at Bai Wang's abode. All he saw was a haze of white vapor, misty and indistinct, with Bai Wang standing within it. Since the latter had already accepted the seal of authority, Tai Su observed the formalities and said, "Greetings, Bai Wang Executive."
Bai Wang smiled and returned the salute. "Greetings, Tai Su Executive. I ought to have paid you a visit first; how could I trouble you to come here? I have truly been discourteous."
"Bai Wang Executive is too polite." After a brief exchange of courtesies, Tai Su said, "Since Bai Wang Executive has accepted the seal of authority, you acknowledge yourself as one of the Golden Court. From this day onward, you must abide by the Golden Court's order and rules. I have come so that you may understand this clearly, and thus I speak on behalf of the Executives to declare the matter."
This was both a necessary procedure and a means of establishing who held authority in the Golden Court. Therefore, even though Bai Wang already knew all the rules, Tai Su still had to explain them anew.
Unlike Qing Shuo, Bai Wang had none of those questions. He seemed entirely unconcerned with what Dao the Golden Court upheld. Whatever Tai Su mentioned, he merely smiled and nodded, indicating that he understood.
Thus, their discussion went rather smoothly. Before long, everything that needed to be said had been said.
