"He has been getting very close to Councilor Chu lately?"
He was somewhat puzzled. Councilor Chu had always been a peripheral figure, barely counting as a neutral party. As for his cultivation, among all the councilors, it was neither outstanding nor low.
He could not understand Daoist Wan's present move. In the past, Daoist Wan had shown no courtesy toward these middle factions. Later, he had tried to win them over for a time, but abandoned the effort when it failed.
