At the core of the Clear Firmament Ark, Chief Executive Wu stood where the previous two Chief Executives had once stood. Reflected in his eyes was the boundless void, where more than a hundred points of light drifted and bobbed.
These were the realms Celestial Xia had discovered over the years. Including those opened up in the past, there were a total of one hundred and ninety-eight.
In truth, far more realms had been born in the actual void than this. These were merely the ones they knew of; the unknown ones were likely beyond counting. And as all things continued their course, more would surely emerge in the future.
With more contact, places of comparatively greater power naturally began to appear among them. Some things were even difficult for them to see through and comprehend for the time being.
Yet whatever form or appearance the other side took, it was ultimately a part of the Dao. The more such things appeared, the more they could use them to glimpse further principles. Thus, they would not shrink away in fear—but neither would they lower their guard.
Past experience had told them that while seeking the Dao was their goal, the road itself was just as winding. They had to protect themselves first before they possessed the strength to accomplish anything else.
They had to ensure that every person of Celestial Xia had a Dao to follow—but first, they had to preserve themselves.
And while dealing with these external matters, all manner of changes and conflicts were likewise surfacing within Celestial Xia.
Just then, radiant mist flickered. Dai Tingzhi emerged from within and came behind him. Taking out a memorial from his sleeve, he presented it and said, "Chief Executive, please review this."
Chief Executive Wu turned around, accepted the memorial,
