Zhang Yu stepped out from that sliver of light. The cloud-glow before him slowly parted, revealing that he stood upon a vast expanse of white Earth Star.
He looked up. In the boundless void overhead were countless tiny motes of stars, while rainbow light, as grand and resplendent as misty dawn clouds, stretched across the heavens, interweaving and reflecting one another. Those dazzling colors possessed an indescribable beauty.
Countless meteor fragments gathered into magnificent spiraling streamers, drifting in from distant star rivers and extending into the star-flecked vault of heaven.
Farther away, a silver-gray, seemingly oval object hung suspended in the void. Its sheer size was immeasurable; it was vast, majestic, and incomparably still, as though it embodied eternity, and as though it upheld the entire boundless void. Around it lay wondrously varied nebulae and countless flickering threads of lightning.
"That is the Clear Firmament Ark, the main vessel by which our Celestial Xia crossed into this world."
A gigantic face of indeterminate gender appeared in the sky. It was formed from wisps of dim silver radiance, yet the subtle expressions upon its face were vivid and lifelike, no different from those of a real person.
The face spoke again in a gentle yet omnipresent voice. "Under the main vessel's primordial magnetic force, all worlds may exist, and all things may operate."
Upon hearing this, Zhang Yu fell into thought. At that moment, he closed his eyes. When he opened them again, the scene before him changed at once!
What appeared before him was an incomparably vast landmass, boundless as far as the eye could see. The ground was carpeted with colorful petals, and at the end of the horizon stood the phantom of Sky-Piercing Cliff.
What he had seen earlier was not the true upper level—or rather, not the
