Before the Golden Palace, the Daoist looked at Irukuga and let out a cold laugh. Turning to the little boy, he asked, "Disciple, why do you think he is doing this?"
The little boy thought for a moment and said, "There are powerful people inside whom he cannot handle himself. He thinks he can use us against them. Maybe he can even make both sides suffer, then reap the fisherman's profit for himself."
Irukuga smiled faintly. "Yes, I do not deny my intentions. Don't you seek the High One Slate? The High One Slate lies within the divine powers of God King Ilus and God Queen Iqi. Only by capturing or killing their mortal vessels could one possibly obtain it.
"Divine one of Celestial Xia, I will candidly tell you that these two are now my enemies. I am willing to deal with them together with you."
The little boy looked at him, then turned back to his teacher and pointed at Irukuga. "Teacher, he must have other schemes."
The Daoist said, "It is only right that he has schemes. But no matter what he plans, we need only do what we came to do. Must we become timid and overcautious merely because of a few words from him?"
The little boy thought about it and said, "This disciple understands. Since Teacher was able to come here, you must be confident in handling every unforeseen change."
The Daoist said, "That is how it should be."
Master and disciple spoke as though no one else were present. Yet Irukuga showed no embarrassment at having his designs exposed, and the smile remained on his face.
He could sense that this Celestial Xia divine being possessed an unfathomable power. That was precisely why he had conceived the plan of using the latter against
