Zhengqing stood there without replying.
Zhu Feng also remained still.
In a faint moment of disorientation, Zhengqing's figure suddenly vanished. At the same time, she sensed that Mei Shang, who had spoken from the side earlier, had likewise disappeared. The surroundings sank into silent darkness.

She immediately understood. They had been trapped in a delusion all along. The Tranquility Incense had not produced its intended effect. Other than what she felt within herself, which was real, everything else had been illusion.
Steady footsteps sounded in the distance. She turned and saw Mei Shang walking over. Upon seeing Zhu Feng, the latter gave her a Daoist salute. "Guardian of Rectitude Zhu, are you all right?"
An ordinary person would long since have been left suspicious and plagued by doubt after such a chaotic mingling of illusion and reality, unable to trust even themselves. But Zhu Feng was, after all, a Profound Venerable. Having cultivated to this point, she had naturally undergone every sort of trial of the heart and mind. Not the least flustered, she calmly returned the salute and looked at Mei Shang. "Guardian of Rectitude Mei, where did you go just now?"
Mei Shang said in surprise, "Was it not just now that
