Personality

Marco’s relaxed manner gives way to caution when his family is at risk. He questions Chen Ye’s unexplained rise in strength, warns that an obvious disappearance through the Space-Time Door could jeopardize Ace’s rescue, and tries to stop Chen Ye from provoking a full-power fight with Whitebeard 11 28 31.

His loyalty to Whitebeard and the crew drives him to protect others even against stronger opponents. After recognizing that he has relied too heavily on Whitebeard’s protection, Marco accepts a potentially fatal transformation so he can better defend their family 83 143 145.
