Background
The Old Kingdom Organization is an underground group formed by people unwilling to accept the abolition of the old national system and the creation of the Federation. Its ranks include former powerhouses, restorationists nostalgic for the Old Kingdom, and people recruited or coerced through propaganda and fear. Its declared cause is restoring the Old Kingdom; its leadership pursues power through destabilizing and overthrowing the Federation 153 218 231.
Many ordinary members joined out of idealized patriotism, but the organization's leadership exploited and brainwashed them. It spread “Federation Abandonment Theory” and “Old Kingdom Revivalism,” especially in remote settlements suffering from Celestial Pit attacks, where it offered aid before converting entire communities 218 231.
Later revelations identify Chen Xiongfei as the organization’s original hidden architect. After cultivating a War Lord clone through a belief-power system, he used anti-Federation restorationism to recruit followers, appointed Arman Bard as the visible leader and scapegoat, and accumulated power behind the scenes 747.
Ideology and Objectives
- Restore the Old Kingdom system — The organization seeks to overturn the Federation and revive the pre-Federation political order 231.
- Exploit factional conflict — It takes advantage of competing interests among the Federation’s lineages and Base Cities to obstruct Guxia’s development and disrupt social order 150.
- Recruit through crisis — Members provide assistance in threatened rural areas, then use fear, propaganda, and indoctrination to expand their outer membership 218.
- Cooperate with non-human powers — High-ranking extremists collaborate with Celestial Pit Creatures and Deities to gain resources and military strength, despite the danger this poses to humanity 231 381.
- Fuel war for the War Lord — Wars instigated by the organization strengthen the War Lord, whose divine power grows through chaos, violence, and conflict 678 719.
Organization
Leadership
| Position | Known holders | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Leader | Arman Bard | Former public leader, known as the Fate Controller; used the Fate Card Law to manipulate long-term assets within the Federation 677 |
| Hidden founder / later leader | Chen Xiongfei | Former council member and brother of Guxia’s Supreme Leader Chen Xiong Zhi; revealed to be the War Lord’s human original body 726 747 |
| Crown Prince | Unnamed | Described as the organization’s third most powerful figure; directed major plans, recruitment efforts, and Evil God Warrior research 190 520 |
| Councilors | Twelve Councilors | Senior body including Nigan and Saipan; some members concealed both face and voice while holding influential Federation positions 495 676 |
| Regional leadership | Executives and regional supreme leaders | Managed branch bases, combat squads, informant networks, and local operations 437 634 |
Infiltration Network
The organization cultivated deeply embedded operatives, including officials who could remain inactive for decades without contacting their handlers. He Dongchen served publicly as Jiangbei Base City’s trusted Two-Star General for thirty years before being reactivated as an Old Kingdom asset 539.
Its infiltration reached major institutions, sects, military and security structures:
- He Dongchen — Long-term mole embedded in Jiangbei Base City’s leadership 539.
- Li Qing — Divine Path Grand Elder secretly cultivated by the organization; attempted to recruit and brainwash Tang Jian 502 510.
- Bai Ningbing — White Feather Sect Master whose identity within the organization was known only to its leader 538.
- Huang Yue — High-level mole who became a Card God and helped rescue imprisoned Old Kingdom agents 665.
- GOD—Clark / Number One — Originally planted within the Federation over a century earlier, then secretly turned into a Federation double agent by the Sage 742.
Operations and Methods
Terror and Abduction
The organization targeted weakly defended small counties, including Xicheng, abducting children and causing widespread panic. Approximately thirty children disappeared from Xicheng during one such campaign 27.
It later conducted retaliatory attacks against Jiangbei City, targeting students after their college entrance examinations 151.
Assassination and Abduction
The organization repeatedly targeted Tang Jian, initially for his Demi-human Beauty Card and later because it recognized him as a major threat. It dispatched combat squads, assassins, and Executive Li Feng in attempts to seize or eliminate him 150 437 524.
The Crown Prince favored gradual recruitment and brainwashing of exceptional talents when possible, judging forced mental control too likely to damage valuable geniuses 518.
Propaganda and Indoctrination
- Distributed restorationist and anti-Federation messaging in unstable regions 218.
- Used psychological manipulation, hallucinogenic Celestial Pit toxins, and mental-series Cards to test and recruit targets 518.
- Exploited Divine Path’s prestige and resources to make recruitment appear legitimate and attractive 451 510.
Card Weapons and Biological Research
The organization possessed major resources, extraterrestrial links, and a record of developing dangerous Card weapons 153.
- Outland Myriad Mixed Toxin Card — A rare toxin Card developed with off-world technology; its mixed toxins are exceptionally difficult to neutralize 153.
- Evil God Warriors — Artificial weapons developed through cooperation with Evil God Hitler. Later variants lost the earlier models’ regenerative ability but retained fragile bodies, insanity, and exceptionally strong Spiritual Power 491 751.
- Divine Favor Parasites — Deployed to create chaos and panic ahead of further operations against Guxia 563.
- Evil God Warrior project data — Continued to be transmitted from the Titan mothership to surviving operatives in the Southern Border 764.
Bases and Assets
- Earth main base — Hidden beneath a contaminated abandoned zone in a spatial rift maintained through the Sky Roc Demigod Card; designed to evade the six Federation factions’ reconnaissance systems 477.
- Titan mothership — The organization’s space headquarters and major resource storehouse; used for council meetings, strategic movement, and Evil God Warrior data transfers 676 763.
- Eastern Region Branch Base No. 5 — Located beneath the river at Bayi Mountain in the Three Rivers Basin; its destruction triggered panic at the Eastern Region Headquarters 631 634.
- Secret strongholds — Dozens of concealed sites remained scattered across Guxia after the organization’s major setbacks; many were later identified through scrying 763.
Major Arcs
Early Terror Campaigns
The organization’s presence in Xicheng became public through monster attacks, child abductions, and clashes with Card Masters such as He Yan. Its early strategy focused on isolated areas with weak public security and defenses 27.
Exposure of Informants
Tang Jian’s intelligence led to the exposure of numerous embedded agents, including Nie Lengxiao, disrupting a Celestial Pit base-defection plan that had required over a decade of preparation. Ural accepted responsibility and volunteered for a suicide mission 190.
Divine Path and Latu Base City
Li Qing infiltrated and controlled the Divine Path while attempting to recruit Tang Jian. Her exposure, combined with Tang Jian’s counter-operation, helped ruin the organization’s plan to seize Latu Base City and exposed Tang Jian as one of its most dangerous enemies 520 524.
Evil God Warrior Project
The organization collaborated with Evil God Hitler on Evil God Warrior research. Federation offensives destroyed more than ten of its Guxia bases and temporarily bankrupted the initial Evil God plan, though refinement research continued elsewhere 491 508.
Arman Bard’s Fall
Arman Bard pursued Tang Jian in person after Project A’s initial completion. Tang Jian sealed him in the Chaos Universe, though Arman escaped and responded by ordering a full-scale war to distract the Federation 671 677.
War Lord Conflict
After Arman’s fall, Chen Xiongfei openly assumed leadership and launched a full-scale war. His identity as the War Lord’s human original body revealed that the organization’s restorationist cause had long served a larger campaign of conflict and divine empowerment 742 747.
Collapse of Earth Operations
The exposure of the Earth base, capture of Councilor Nigan, and discovery of remaining secret strongholds critically damaged the organization’s terrestrial network. The Old Witch God later eradicated the remaining Southern Border forces within nineteen days, including several executives 734 763 772.
Relationships
- War Lord / Chen Xiongfei — The organization’s true patron and hidden founder; its wars directly strengthened the War Lord’s divine power 678 747.
- Arman Bard — Former leader and Fate Card Law user; manipulated Federation assets through long-term fate connections 677.
- Crown Prince — Senior leader who oversaw recruitment, intelligence failures, and Evil God Warrior research 190 520.
- Evil God Hitler — Cooperated with the organization on the Evil God Warrior project and broader anti-Federation conflict 491 679.
- Divine Path Sect — Infiltrated through Grand Elder Li Qing, whose exposure endangered the entire sect 502 510.
- Human Federation — Primary enemy; the organization seeks its overthrow while infiltrating its institutions and exploiting internal divisions 150 231.
- Tang Jian — A persistent adversary who exposed its informants, foiled the Latu Base City plan, captured major personnel, and helped dismantle its bases 524 639 677.
Trivia
- The organization’s symbol is a square pattern assembled from the flags of more than a dozen former countries, representing the restoration of Old Kingdom “glory” 149.
- Its masked councilors concealed their appearances and sometimes altered their voices, making identification of senior members exceptionally difficult 495.
- The organization’s main base was deliberately placed in a spatial rift because conventional reconnaissance by the Federation’s six factions could not locate it 477.
