"What are your orders, Heavenly Khan?"
"Come, Kor'sarro, sit over here." Smiling, Jaghatai swept the documents on the table into a drawer below and pointed Kor'sarro toward a stool.
Then Jaghatai took out a stack of blank paper and a pen and pushed them directly in front of Kor'sarro.
"Do you wish to inspect my calligraphy?" Kor'sarro was somewhat nervous. White Scars warriors were not only skilled at wild racing, but also highly accomplished in calligraphy. Yet no matter how well Kor'sarro wrote, he could never surpass Jaghatai's casual strokes.
Jaghatai shook his head. "Help me take down some political documents. Listening to them makes me terribly sleepy."
At those words, Kor'sarro's expression immediately changed. He rose and saluted before refusing Jaghatai's request. "Heavenly Khan, it is not that I am unwilling to obey your command, but The Emperor specifically stressed that you must not continue avoiding administrative duties. As a Primarch, you should shoulder a Primarch's responsibilities."
"What kind of nonsense is that!" Jaghatai's old face reddened, half from embarrassment and half from anger. "When I lead you on hunts, am I not fulfilling my duties as a Primarch? I remember very clearly that you were the one enjoying the chase most!"
"One matter is one matter, Heavenly Khan." Kor'sarro remained impassive, all business. "In any case, I cannot assist you with administrative affairs. The other brothers are the same."
Jaghatai pulled a long face. After complaining that The Emperor was meddling too much, his eyes shifted as an idea for dealing with Kor'sarro came to him.
"Ahem..." Jaghatai coughed softly twice and placed the blank paper before himself. "Sigh... how disheartening. Your wings have grown strong, and this old father can no longer manage you."
"Heavenly Khan, please do not say that. I am merely carrying out orders."
