The Aeldari defenses were drowned beneath an endless flood of blue-armored Space Marines. The Ultramarines were not only a tactically balanced force, but also the largest Space Marine Legion in the Imperium of Man.
If not for the lack of Ork support from Ongron, Yvraine might have been rescued by Roboute Guilliman long ago, and their three-month honeymoon would have begun.
Isha was only responsible for supplying Macragge with an unending stream of Warp energy. She did not personally enter the battlefield.
Roboute Guilliman had also sought help from the God-Emperor, hoping the Legion of the Damned could assist him in a surprise attack on the enemy's center.
The God-Emperor's answer was:
"The soldiers of the Legion of the Damned have gone on leave. They fought for so long in life and death that I cannot bear to send them back to the battlefield."
When he looked to The Emperor, The Emperor ignored him as well, merely saying that he should handle his own wedding himself.
Roboute Guilliman had no choice but to grit his teeth and continue fighting.
During the war, Roboute Guilliman clashed with Ongron many times. Driven into a rage by the Orks' various infiltration tactics, he had even stormed out of the command room and challenged Ongron in the distance to a duel.
Ongron had never refused Roboute Guilliman. In every duel, he came out slightly ahead, successfully punching Roboute Guilliman into the bedroom for a good nap with his old fists.
As for Roboute Guilliman's stubbornness, his fellow Primarch brothers had offered him some advice. They told him that he only needed to draw Ongron out, then let Primarchs skilled in close-quarters brawling, such as Fulgrim and Leman Russ, deal with him.
Roboute Guilliman did not answer, but neither did he accept his brothers' suggestion.
