Zhang Ye suddenly turned around, the relaxation on his face instantly replaced by tension.

What fucking Justice League was there when General Zod invaded? Batman hadn't prepared for anything. Other than standing on the ground and feeling powerless as he watched the battlefield, there was nothing he could do. Even The Flash could only save one child despite giving it everything he had.
As for Wonder Woman and Aquaman, one was still hiding among the crowd without showing herself, while the other was drinking himself into a stupor by the sea. Neither took part in the battle at all. Not to mention that Black kid who was still a football player—he hadn't even been turned into Cyborg by a Mother Box yet.
More importantly, without interference from outsiders, no one would know the name "Justice League," much less think of gathering its members in advance, because that was something that would only happen in the future.
So the fact that guy could say something like that meant he, like Zhang Ye, was not a "native" of this universe at all!
Twins?
No.
They weren't twins at all.
They were counterparts from two different timelines—or rather, an interloper from another timeline. He was destroying this original timeline and turning it into part of the Multiverse.
There weren't many people in the DC Universe capable of doing that. After all, interfering with a timeline was an extremely dangerous thing.
But there happened to be one person who did it all the time, and whenever some major event occurred, he would inevitably be dragged out either as a sacrifice or to clean things up.
Even more coincidentally, Zhang Ye remembered seeing this very scene in DC's Movie Universe before he transmigrated!
Zhang Ye stared fixedly at the two young figures gradually walking away, his lips feeling dry.
This wasn't the Man of Steel timeline at all. This timeline was the damn Flashpoint Universe from The Flash movie!
This Flashpoint Universe had been created when The Flash, Barry Allen, traveled back in time to save his mother and interfered with the original timeline. Like branches on a towering tree, countless universes in the Multiverse were constantly being born and developing. But if there were too many of them, it could easily cause chaos in the Multiverse, leading to collisions and destruction between two or more universes.
Thus, during the Multiverse's development, many universes were destined to head toward destruction in order to ensure the safety of other universes. Like pruned branches, they were worlds that would inevitably be discarded.
Most of those universes arose by accident, their birth and destruction following a natural pattern. But if someone deliberately interfered with the development of a timeline, they would instantly destroy its original linear progression and create an extremely unstable, out-of-control parallel world.
Not many people possessed that kind of power, but once they used it, the consequences would be terrifying.
Their interference with the timeline would create a temporal paradox—a fulcrum, an "absolute point in time" formed through an individual's actions. It was something that could never be broken, and that universe would be doomed to perish.
The Flash traveling back in time to save his mother seemed like a minor act, but it created an independent fulcrum. It directly changed the entire universe, not only creating a new future, but rewriting the past itself.
As a result, Zeus in this universe never had Wonder Woman, Aquaman's parents never met, and Superman was intercepted when he left Krypton. He never landed on Earth. Instead, it was his cousin, Supergirl, who came to Earth.
All of this stemmed from The Flash altering the timeline, and this world would ultimately be destroyed when General Zod descended upon Earth.
Because at that moment, no one would step forward to defeat General Zod. There was no one on Earth left who could stop him.
Watching the two Barry Allens gradually disappear around the street corner, Zhang Ye couldn't calm down for a long time. He had thought he still had several years to plan things properly, but reality had caught him completely off guard.
From General Zod appearing on Earth, to killing Supergirl and taking the Codex from her body, then activating the World Engine to transform Earth, it had taken only a few days in total.

"Fuck! Can't I just get some proper rest for once?" Zhang Ye slammed his fist into the wall. Having figured out his current situation, he felt an even worse headache coming on.
He didn't go after Barry Allen directly, because even if he found the two of them, it wouldn't change the fact that all of this would happen. The most urgent matter now was finding a way to leave this universe.
"I haven't been traveling for long, and I'm either running for my life or on the way to run for my life. This is seriously ridiculous." Zhang Ye returned to the hotel and looked at Pietro, who had already drifted off to sleep. Then he lay down on the other bed.
He hadn't thought things through before, so when he transmigrated, Zhang Ye hadn't taken anything from Marvel's Ruined Universe that could improve his combat strength. The only useful Iron Suit had even been crushed by President X.
After reflecting on it, Zhang Ye decided that this time, he absolutely could not transmigrate again without making preparations.
