I'll Probably Forget You Tomorrow
Guilliman stood up from the gravel and wiped the golden blood from the corner of his mouth.
He looked at the Burning One. There was no fear in those blue-gold eyes, only an almost plain calmness.
"Remember you forever?" His voice was very soft, so soft that only the Burning One could hear it.
"You really make a show of yourself."
The Burning One's brows furrowed. "What did you say?"
Guilliman has no answer.
His hands were crossed in front of him, and the blue-gold light condensed in his palms.
Law of Eternity and Atomic Law began to merge and rotate, like two stars orbiting each other.
The rotation is getting faster and faster, more violent, and more and more unstoppable.
The golden eternal light and the blue atomic light are intertwined to form a spiral energy ball.
The sphere contains the dual power of Material Universe and Warp, which is enough to eliminate all existence.
The Burning One's pupils suddenly contracted.
He felt that the power contained in the energy ball was not a simple matter decomposition, not a simple Psionic Energy annihilation, but the ultimate elimination of the combination of the two.
That is the double negation of Material Universe and Warp, the erasure of existence itself.
Guilliman's eyes were cold, the aura around his body suddenly rose, and he declared in a deep voice the true meaning of this move:
"This is the ultimate blend of the original power of Material Universe and the power of the Warp's void soul. The two ultimate powers collide and merge!
Endless annihilation and destruction are born from it, which can crush all matter, annihilate all spiritual consciousness, erase all existence, and everything in the world will be reduced to nothingness under this move."
"I call this..."
"The ultimate episode·."
Guilliman's voice was calm, as if he was reciting an ancient mantra.
The energy ball flew out from his palm, not very fast, but with an inescapable certainty.
It flew towards the Burning One. Wherever it passed, the void was shaking, matter was decomposing, and energy was being annihilated.
The Burning One wanted to hide, but the energy ball had locked onto his aura.
He wanted to block it, but his flames were meaningless in front of the energy ball.
He could only watch it fly, watch it hit his chest, watch it explode.
The explosion had no sound, no light, and no phenomenon that could be captured by the senses.
There is only a kind of hollow, nothingness, like the silence before the universe began.
In that silence, a big hole was blown out of the Burning One's chest, and the Necrodermis armor disappeared together with the sky fire on it, not even the dregs were left.
The Burning One's body staggered back, his eyes full of shock.
He looked down at the hole in his chest. The edge of the hole was as smooth as a mirror, as if it had been directly erased by some force beyond matter.
"How is it possible..." His voice was hoarse.
"How is it possible..."
Guilliman Standing in front of him, that hundred-meter-tall body was like a mountain.
In his hand, the golden flame on Emperor's Sword was burning brightly.
In his eyes, the blue-gold light was like two stars.
"What's impossible?" His voice was calm and cold.
"I am Son of War, the master of Material Universe, and the collective belief of Imperium of Man for ten thousand years. And you are just a poor man who has been imprisoned for sixty-five million years."
The Burning One's body began to disintegrate.
Starting from the chest, inch by inch, it turned into black gravel.
His eyes were full of shock, disbelief, and unwillingness.
But as the body continued to disintegrate, the arrogance of looking down on the galaxy completely dissipated, leaving only the fear and humility that penetrated into the bone marrow.
He no longer had the arrogance of C'tan. The emerald green sky fire around him was extremely dim, and his huge body curled up, making a trembling and shrill plea.
"Wait... don't annihilate me completely... I was wrong, I shouldn't be arrogant, I shouldn't provoke you... Please forgive me once, I am willing to be imprisoned forever and never set foot on Material Universe again... Please!"
His voice was broken and full of tears. C'tan, who used to be so arrogant in the past, was now in a miserable state and humbled into the dust. He kept kowtowing to Guilliman, with black gravel constantly falling down, looking extremely miserable.
Guilliman looked at his ugly appearance, a cold sarcasm curled up at the corner of his mouth, his tone was indifferent and sharp, and every word struck his heart.
"Now do you know how to beg for mercy? When you were so arrogant and treating all living beings like ants, why didn't you think that today would happen?"
"You claim to be the pinnacle of Material Universe, but you regard all things as stupid dogs. You have been imprisoned for thousands of years and still don't know how to restrain yourself. Now in front of the power of annihilation, you know how to humble yourself and beg for mercy. It's too ridiculous."
"You don't even have a soul, and you're not even qualified to survive. You're just an empty shell created by the laws of matter. How can you be worthy of begging for mercy?"
The Burning One's face turned pale, and his pleas became more and more shrill, but he never got the slightest mercy.
"No... impossible..." His voice was hoarse to the extreme, and there was only despair in his eyes.
"I am the Burning One... I am the heavenly fire of Material Universe... I am eternal..."
Guilliman looked at him, with no emotion in those blue-gold eyes.
His voice was calm and cold. "Immortality? You don't even have a soul, and even your body is borrowed. What do you want for eternity? What do you want for immortality?"
The Burning One's body disintegrated faster and faster, and the black gravel floated in the void, like green snowflakes.
His consciousness was dissipating, his memory was blurring, and his sixty-five million years of existence turned into nothingness in the blue-gold light.
Guilliman stretched out his hand, and the blue-gold light spurted out from his palm, wrapping the scattered black gravel.
The gravel rotated, condensed, and compressed in the light, and finally turned into a tiny, dark green crystal.
In the crystal, a group of emerald green flames can be vaguely seen beating. It is the remaining consciousness of the Burning One, the last bit of energy he accumulated over 65 million years.
Guilliman looked at the crystal and was silent for a moment.
Then he turned around and looked at the crack in the void leading to the four-dimensional space.
In that crack, countless C'tan Shard were wailing, struggling, and trying to break free from their imprisonment.
But their efforts are in vain.
The four-dimensional space is the pinnacle creation of Necron Technology, and it is a cage specially used to imprison C'tan.
"C'tan cannot be killed," Guilliman murmured, with a hint of helplessness in his voice.
"Because they are the incarnation of the Material Universe law. Killing them will lead to the collapse of the law of matter."
"Stars will stop burning, atoms will stop moving, and time will stop passing. The entire universe will fall into eternal stillness."
He looked at the crystal in his hand. The emerald green flame was beating slightly, as if in response to his words.
"So, we can only seal it. Or break it. Break it into pieces and imprison it in the four-dimensional space. Just like Necrons did 65 million years ago."
He walked towards the crack, his steps were steady and powerful, and every step was solid.
He stood in front of the crack, looking at the green abyss and the countless wailing C'tan Shard.
Then he stretched out his hand and threw the crystal into the crack.
The crystal fell in the crack, and the emerald green flame flickered in the darkness, like a meteor falling into the abyss.
It collided with those C'tan Shard and burst out with a dazzling light.
Those fragments struggled in the light, wailed in the light, and were silent in the light.
The crack slowly healed, and the green light gradually dissipated.
Guilliman is the only person left in the void.
His body began to shrink, changing from the 100-meter-tall Titans body back to its normal size.
His Power Armour was full of cracks, and his face was full of exhaustion, but his eyes were still shining with that blue-gold light.
He was suspended in the void, looking at the healing crack, and was silent for a long time.
There was no joy of victory in his heart, no pride of defeating a powerful enemy, only a deep exhaustion.
"It's so boring." He said softly, with a hint of boredom in his voice.
"I will probably forget you soon."
