Wu Wanghai felt that since Primogems were so easy to obtain here, he might as well save up for a ten-pull each time before wishing.
Besides, he rarely did single pulls, only doing so when he was close to pity.
Because he had been busy with the house these past few days, Wu Wanghai, who wanted to pull, had been thinking about the little stash Furina mentioned. But he had been interrupted several times and never got the chance to ask Furina for it.
But after taking that batch of Primogems from Furina, how was he supposed to save up Primogems himself?
Did he have to go to the Adventurers' Guild and earn 60 Primogems from four daily commissions every day???
He absolutely could. He had nothing to do now anyway, so registering as an Adventurers' Guild member would be no loss at all.
But before that, he had not unlocked all of Fontaine's teleport waypoints, so he could not finish the dailies quickly. Did that mean he would have to expand the map while taking commissions...
Although Wu Wanghai had only just remembered the matter of doing dailies for Primogems, and had wasted at least more than a week.
But it did not matter. Primogems could be traded here, so he was not short of that little bit.
First, he would see whether the basic 60 Primogems were available.
Furina's little stash was not urgent at all. He would check out the Adventurers' Guild first.
So, with a teleport, Wu Wanghai arrived before the teleport waypoint in the Lyonnais District, where the Adventurers' Guild was located.
Catherine, standing behind the Adventurers' Guild counter in a dark green uniform, spotted Wu Wanghai walking over. "Ad astra..."
Wu Wanghai hurriedly cut her off. He heard it every day, and his ears were practically callused. "Hello, hello."
"...abyssosque, welcome to the Adventurers' Guild~" But interrupting her did not work. Catherine finished the sentence anyway.
Wu Wanghai felt miserable. This was not like the game, where he could force-skip it. "Damn it, I can't interrupt her anymore."
"I've been observing you for quite some time~" Catherine greeted Wu Wanghai with a smile, then continued, "Is this your first time at the Adventurers' Guild? Do you need to post a commission, or join the Adventurers' Guild?"
"Can I get Primogems?"
"I don't understand what you're saying." Catherine shook her head, then repeated herself. "Would you like to post a commission, or join the Adventurers' Guild?"
"Can I take you with me?"
"I'm sorry, but as an Adventurers' Guild receptionist, I cannot leave my post at will." Catherine smiled.
"If I joined the Fatui, would I get more Primogems?"
"Hello, everyone is free to make their own choices. Even if you are a member of the Fatui, you may still join the Adventurers' Guild and become an outstanding adventurer." Catherine smiled. Smiled.
"Uh, so you don't know what Primogems are, right?" Wu Wanghai said helplessly. Then he took out a Primogem. "It's this shiny stone you people don't need."
"I understand. You wish to post a commission to collect 'Primogems.' Please wait a moment." Catherine bent down and took out a form. "Please fill in your requirements and reward. We will additionally charge ten percent of the reward in Mora as a commission posting fee."
Fine, fine, fine. Wu Wanghai did not get angry. After all, he knew that the Catherine before him was a puppet produced by Snezhnaya. But this level of comprehension... all he could say was that she truly lived up to being artificial stupidity.
With artificial intelligence, you could only speak very directly to her. "Let's talk about the commission to collect Primogems later..."
After all, Wu Wanghai had not figured out the purchase rate yet. Besides, he did not have much Mora left to spend. Every bit he used was a bit less.
Wu Wanghai actually wanted to buy Primogems at one Mora for one Primogem, but nobody would take that. It was way too stingy. Besides, even an egg in Teyvat cost two hundred Mora.
"I want to register as an adventurer first."
Catherine's smile deepened slightly. "All right. Please fill out your personal information first."
"..." More forms. Wu Wanghai looked at the paper and pen on the counter, then blinked his big eyes at Catherine. You know what I mean~~~.
"Name." Catherine silently picked up the pen and held the application form toward herself.
What followed was a conversation covering some basic information.
Catherine put away the information. "All right, welcome to the Adventurers' Guild, rising adventurer Mr. Wu Wanghai. This is your 'Adventurer's Handbook.' Please keep it safe."
Wu Wanghai took it. It was a booklet that was not particularly thick. He began flipping through it.
Beside him, Catherine began explaining the rules to newcomer Wu Wanghai. "For adventurers, experience is more important than aptitude. Only by continuously accumulating 'adventure experience' can one improve their 'adventure rank' evaluation."
"It contains a great deal of information regarding the Guild's commissions and rewards. At the same time, it is also proof of membership, so remember to check it often and keep it safe."
"Oh, and one more thing. Advancing your adventure rank comes with bottlenecks. When that time comes, you will need to complete some 'impressive tasks' to earn further recognition from the Guild."
"Mm, I more or less understand. Give me a few tasks first."
Catherine nodded and took out a task list from the counter. "Then please choose suitable tasks from this list to complete first~"
Wu Wanghai glanced through it. They really were the most common and simple tasks imaginable: cleaning, weeding, finding things, and so on.
o,O Wu Wanghai pursed his lips. These tasks were so miscellaneous and all such a waste of time. Most importantly, there was not a single monster-hunting task.
Smack! Wu Wanghai slapped his Hydro Vision onto the counter.
"?" Catherine looked over at him in confusion instead.
"I am a Vision bearer. Give me some high-difficulty monster-hunting tasks." Wu Wanghai looked smug.
"I understand!" Catherine filtered through the options, then placed an illustrated task list on the counter, marked with locations, monster types, and quantities.
Wu Wanghai looked through it. Most monster-hunting tasks involved clearing out some camp or killing designated monsters.
This task list really was simple, easy to understand, and user-friendly. After thinking it over, Wu Wanghai accepted four at once.
Catherine checked them and said, "A Crisis of Confidence, Fish Out of Water, Ruffling the Waves, and the last one is Evil's Expansion... All right, I'll record them for you now."
They were four relatively nearby monster-hunting tasks. Wu Wanghai nodded in satisfaction, then remembered something and asked, "Do these tasks have any time limits?"
Catherine shook her head. "No. However, these enemy-clearing tasks are shared by the Adventurers' Guild. If someone completes one first during this period, the identical commission held by others will become invalid, and no reward will be given."
"So that's how it is!" Wu Wanghai looked anxious.
Damn it, in this real version, someone could even snatch away the reward after he accepted a task.
Catherine said gently, "You needn't worry too much. Tasks of this sort are highly dangerous. After all, Vision-bearing adventurers are exceedingly rare in the Adventurers' Guild, few enough to count on one's fingers."
"New adventurers rarely accept them. Only ordinary people who have become strong, or adventurers with relatively high adventure ranks, will take such tasks." Having finished speaking, Catherine smiled at Wu Wanghai.
Wu Wanghai nodded in understanding. "Oh, oh."
Wait... this place was already different from the game. There was no time limit for completion, so did that mean the quantity was not limited either?
Thinking this, Wu Wanghai looked at the task list on the counter.
"Can I accept all of them?" Wu Wanghai asked expectantly.
Catherine decisively shook her head. "I'm sorry, but an adventurer may accept at most four commissions at a time. To accept new commissions, you can only abandon or complete the old ones."
That made sense... if everyone could hold a huge pile of tasks, it would greatly affect completion efficiency.
Wu Wanghai found it acceptable enough.
