Background

Wu Wanghai originally lived on Blue Star. After being pushed out of his job as cheaper new workers replaced older employees, he was caught in an explosion while trying to protect a little girl and her mother. He awakened in Fontaine in a younger, anime-styled body rather than dying permanently. 1

Initially stranded, soaked, and without money or clothing, he panicked over how to survive in the unfamiliar world. His situation changed when a deep-blue, starry phone-like system manifested in his hand and identified him as a 1-Star character. Recognizing Fontaine as part of the Genshin Impact world he had played, he became determined to exploit its game-like rules. 2

His first major public incident came when a loudspeaker-related quest caused his declaration that “Focalors is my wife” to be heard across Fontaine. Furina brought him to trial, where he exaggerated his origins as a world-hopping traveler to appear powerful and mysterious. 1 4

Appearance

Wu Wanghai retains much of his previous appearance but describes his transmigrated body as younger and refined with an anime-like aesthetic. His most distinctive feature is his unusual dark-blue eyes, whose gradient coloring resembles a starry sky. 1

Personality

Wu Wanghai is theatrical, impulsive, and shamelessly expressive. He masks nervousness with grandiose poses, exaggerated stories, and public declarations, especially when facing intimidating crowds or powerful figures. His claims of having traveled countless worlds were partly improvised to make himself seem more formidable than he was. 1

His knowledge of Genshin Impact gives him a strongly game-oriented outlook. He measures enemies by levels and health bars, seeks efficient experience farming, obsesses over Primogems, and treats unfamiliar mechanics as systems to test. This mentality makes him inventive, but it also causes reckless decisions, such as challenging enemies far beyond his ability or trying to loot defeated Hilichurls. 10 17 21

Despite his unserious behavior, he repeatedly acts to protect others. He saves Lynette during the Domain battle, investigates Vacher’s disappearances before further victims can be harmed, and immediately wants to retaliate when Furina is frightened by an attacker. 18 23 48

Wu Wanghai’s primary cheat is a deep-blue, starry phone system visible only to him. It provides a character interface, inventory, quests, map functions, teleportation, gacha, and other game-like systems. 2 42
