"Aguamenti!"

"Incendio!"

Silan and Hermione spoke at the same time.

Two beams of light burst from the tips of their wands and collided in front of the Troll.

The flames exploded the instant they touched the water. A hazy mist rapidly spread through the corridor, enveloping the Troll and all four of them in the blink of an eye.

The Troll, which had just been playing whack-a-mole with Ron and Harry, seemed at a loss after losing its targets.

Silan took Hermione's hand and turned to give Ron and Harry an instruction.

"Back away slowly."

The four of them pressed themselves against the wall and slowly retreated onto the stairs.

The Troll wandered aimlessly through the corridor, occasionally crashing into the walls and making irritated snorting noises.

"Achoo!"

Ron hugged his shoulders and curled into a ball. He was already soaked through.

Silan had deliberately splashed him while casting Aguamenti just now.

It was a small punishment for saying bad things about Hermione.

Even if anyone looked into it afterward, he could simply say that the situation had been urgent and his control over the spell had not been precise enough.

Following the sound of the sneeze, the Troll carried its club toward them.

"Idiot, you're going to get us killed!"

"If you and the Troll swapped brains, it probably would never have found us."

Harry and Hermione both gritted their teeth and glared at Ron.

"I'm soaked through," Ron complained. "It's not like I did it on purpose."

The three hurried up the stairs, only to realize that Silan had not followed them.

Hermione leaned halfway over the stair railing and shouted anxiously, "Run, Silan!"

"It's fine. Don't forget that I'm a wizard." Silan waved at her, then gracefully swept his wand through the air in an arc.

"Glacius!"
