After the War
After the war, Lucius was also rewarded; aside from the items that had been taken as spoils of war, Voldemort gave him all his possessions.
As for how much wealth Voldemort possessed? At most, it amounted to zero Galleon.
However, the so-called Pure-blood families still had some foundation; Lucius somehow managed to pull out a few magical items.
After selling it, their estate was rebuilt.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald have completely retired; aside from picking up Ariana from Hogwarts at regular intervals, they are rarely seen.
Poor Professor McGonagall was forced to become the principal, and Lily was also conscripted to become the Transfiguration professor.
One year later~
Oren staggered into a bar.
Arriving at a table, Oren remarked, "Isn't that Harry and Ron? You two are really promising young people, Auror right after graduation."
Two little ones...
Harry retorted, "Then Hermione's become an officer in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, too."
Oren waved his hand and said, "You're all amazing, unlike me, an unemployed bum."
Ron asked curiously, "Didn't Hermione come today?"
"She had a minor accident; she fell at her own home yesterday and is still in bed."
Harry said suspiciously, "My Auror instincts tell me something's not right."
Oren rolled her eyes and said, "That day at Crookshanks, she did a backflip and fell down the stairs. She even called me to say she was going downstairs to check, and then she fell too."
Ron took a swig of Butterbeer and said, "How high is the staircase?"
"It's not very high, just two or three steps."
"That doesn't mean he didn't come today!" Harry asked doubtfully. "If he had fallen and hurt himself, couldn't a spell have covered it up?"
Ron shook his head and said, "Don't tell me that staircase is a magical artifact too."
Oren clapped his hands and said, "You guessed right."
Ron: "Pah! You rich bastard!"
Harry was still a little confused. "Shouldn't this kind of magical damage be treated at St Mungo's's in just a few minutes?"
Oren chuckled mischievously, "She'd be too embarrassed to go. It's so shameful for Ministry of Magic official to fall down the stairs."
Ron agreed, "It's pretty embarrassing."
"Right? I told you she brought this on herself."
Two little ones...
Looking at the snowflakes outside the window, Harry remarked, "This little world is much better than Diagon Alley; it's noticeably more spacious."
Ron scoffed. "It's not all good. George and Fred's Diagon Alley shop prices have already dropped by two-thirds."
Harry chimed in, "Now it's mostly nostalgic old folks and newly enrolled Muggle wizards who go there."
Oren said, "Harry, that's a nice scarf! Where did you buy it? It looks very warm."
"Ginny knitted it for him," Ron said sourly. "I, as his older brother, didn't even have that."
Harry...
Harry quickly changed the subject, saying, "Look, there's a newly opened bank across the street."
Oren glanced at it and said, "I was afraid Will and the others were just bored and drove it around randomly."
Two little ones...
Harry exclaimed, "So that's why Gringotts isn't here! It was you who arranged this!"
Oren explained, "I'm a kind-hearted person. If the Goblin opened Gringotts, I'd have to take the time to send them on their dirt planes. Wouldn't that be creating bad karma?"
"Cough cough cough!" Ron reminded him, "We are Auror now."
Harry chimed in, "Sirius Black could have simply banned the Goblin from opening banks; it wouldn't have been so cruel."
"Tsk tsk tsk, Minister for Magic, Hermione was actually quite capable of running for that position before."
Ron exclaimed in surprise, "So she's going to be Harry and me working for us soon!"
"She's still a bit hesitant," Oren shrugged. "After all, if she runs, there's a high chance no one will dare compete with her, and she feels that's a bit unfair."
Two little ones...
