End of the Third School Year
Sirius Black, bruised and battered with an arm in a sling, came to act as the proctor for the Defense Against the Dark Arts exam.
"Potions makers are ruthless. I dare say Snape's punch to Sirius Black must have been poisoned, otherwise, with Madam Pomfrey's skills, he would have been healed long ago."
Hermione asked in confusion, "Where's Professor Lupin?"
"Him? He was reported as Werewolf, so he'd be fired long ago."
"Who reported it? Not many people should know that Professor Lupin is Werewolf, right?" Harry asked, puzzled.
"Who else could it be? No one's whistleblower letter is full of sarcasm." Oren was practically asking for Snape's birth certificate.
Ron: "That wretched old bat! We're getting a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher again next semester!"
"Maybe we could have Sirius Black apply for the Defense Against the Dark Arts," Harry said excitedly.
Oren: "Harry, are you sure? That position is a expendable one. Tsk, now that you mention it, I should go see Professor Lupin off."
"Maybe shaking his hand will bring me some good luck. Although he's not the strongest wizard I've ever seen, he's definitely the one with the strongest destiny."
"It's quite something that he took this position and didn't even report to Merlin."
Harry...
"Children, you must wade through the deep waters of Grindylow, cross the swamps with Red Cap, avoid being led astray by Hinkypunk, and finally defeat the Boggart in the box."
Sirius Black smiled at everyone, then pulled at the bruises on his face, wincing in pain.
One by one, the young wizards waded through the puddles and muddy ground, then unleashed a powerful spell on the poor Boggart. Oren even felt a pang of sympathy for the Boggart.
Harry ran over to the group and said, "That was close! I almost thought I was going to get a tip!"
Ron: "No, Harry, I just saw Sirius Black's score for you, it was an O."
Harry: "Phew, that's good."
Oren: "He's your godfather, Harry. If you just go over there, Sirius Black will give you an O for the sake of your steady breathing."
"Why are you all like this?" Hermione complained. "Can't you just get an O based on what you've learned?"
"Hermione, you don't understand," Oren explained. "What good is just being a bookworm? You'll still be a nobody in the end. To get ahead, you need power and connections."
The little witch rolled her eyes at him and said, "Sirius Black is calling you! Go take your exam!"
As soon as Oren stepped into the pond, he was blocked by a ferocious-looking Grindylow. Without any hesitation, he kicked the monster into a tree trunk.
The remaining monsters all looked up at the sky, pretending not to see Oren.
Monsters: The clouds are really white today!
When Oren got to Boggart, he was completely stumped. No matter how much he shook the cabinet, Boggart just pretended to be dead and wouldn't come out.
"Alright, Oren," Sirius Black said, "If it doesn't come out, then so be it."
Oren kicked the cabinet angrily, almost knocking it over.
"Oren, I have something to tell you. Do you want to spend the holidays with me? Harry will be staying with me too."
Oren gave Sirius Black a scrutinizing look and said, "Then I'll give you a 24-hour probationary period."
Sirius Black...
"No problem, then Oren Black gets a perfect score!"
Hermione was the last of the group to take the exam. She went in fine, and the exam went smoothly, but she lost her temper afterward.
Oren: "Hermione, what's wrong? Did you see Voldemort?"
"What's worse than that is, Boggart became Professor McGonagall, and she said I failed all my grades!"
Oren...
"I have a bottle of Draught of Peace for you. If all else fails, you can use a spell to Obliviate."
Harry Ron...
For the Divination exam, Orion, Harry, and Ron climbed countless flights of stairs to reach the Divination exam venue.
"Oren, you're out so soon?" Harry asked in surprise. "What did she say? Is it that you're about to be in big trouble?"
Ron scoffed, "Isn't Trelaw always like this? She looks at everyone like they're some kind of ominous sign, making us all seem like born unlucky."
Oren shrugged and said, "That's not what she said about me. The real scumbags have always been the two of you."
"He didn't say you were going to be in trouble?" Harry asked curiously. "What did she say about you? Tell me in detail!"
Oren started with a pretentious, mystical introduction, then her crystal ball crashed with a blue screen, and afterwards her eyes rolled back and she collapsed to the ground, her fate unknown.
"I called Headmaster Dumbledore, and he immediately brought Madam Pomfrey to rescue her."
Harry...
Ron...
Dumbledore and Madam Pomfrey rushed into the Divination Classroom, and it was more than twenty minutes Madam Pomfrey helped Professor Trelawney leave.
Dumbledore: "My child, promise me you'll never go into Divination again, okay?"
"Also, Professor Trelawney said she'll give you an O, but she hopes you won't take Divination next semester."
"Hesitant," Oren shrugged. "Okay, I'll switch to water class next semester."
After Dumbledore left, Harry nudged Oren and asked, "So what's your situation now?"
Oren scratched his head and said, "I don't know. Maybe it's because I, the Daoist, have succeeded and transcended the Three Realms and are no longer bound by the Five Elements."
Ron: "You're a wizard!"
Harry: "Shh~ Don't let Merlin hear you, or he'll kick your butt with his size 42 foot, then grab you by the collar and say kindly: 'Is being a wizard a disservice to you?'"
Oren pulled out a frozen fish, pointed it at Harry, and said, "You're finished, kid!"
On the way back to the Gryffindor Tower, Oren asked Harry, "What did that old charlatan Professor Trelawney say about you?"
Harry rubbed his sore bottom from the frozen fish and said, "What? The Dark Lord is back? She said before that black dogs were an ominous sign, but look what happened? They're my godfather's Animagus."
Ron chimed in, "What Hermione said before was a lie."
As the term ended, the Hogwarts Express slowly drove away from the school.
Inside the carriage, Hermione slumped over the table and said, "I'm going to cancel Muggle Studies. I feel like the Time-Turner is driving me crazy."
Oren chimed in, "Yeah, you've been as irritable as your Crookshanks this semester."
A kitten on Crookshanks was in an airplane. It did a mid-air somersault and caught a fierce cat coming down the mountain, which pounced on Oren's face.
Mige the owl originally intended to stop them, but unfortunately, Mige was not as good as the cat on the ground and failed to stop them.
Oren removed the cat mask from his face and said, "Hermione, control your cat! Is it a headcrab or a facehugger?!"
Hermione lay on the table and rolled her eyes at Oren.
When the train arrived at the station, Oren and his group got off the train and saw Sirius Black threatening the Vernon family.
His face, which looked like it was on Muggle wanted list, nearly terrified the Vernon family.
"Harry, Oren, you've finally arrived. Things have changed; Dumbledore refuses to let me bring Harry back to Black Ancestral Home."
"So I bought a house at Number Four, Privet Drive, right next to this fat man's house," Sirius Black pointed to Uncle Vernon.
Harry: "Aren't those houses inhabited? Sirius Black, did you use some kind of spell?"
"No! Harry, I bought it with a whole trunk of Muggle money!" Sirius Black gestured with his hands to show the size of the trunk.
Harry...
The Weasley family also came over, Ron said, "Oren, looks like you're not the only rich guy here."
Oren raised an eyebrow. "I'm going to turn the Burrow seat in the Burrow into gold. Let's see if you can lift it."
The twins quickly covered Ron's mouth.
Sirius Black: "Ron, I'm going to give you an owl as compensation for losing Scabbers."
Ron, his wounds rubbed with salt, accepted the owl with a complicated expression.
