Background

Lin Jiang was a Douluo Continent fan who transmigrated after staying up to watch the series. Upon awakening in a crude wooden hut, he received the System Wholesaler talent: the ability to create subsystems, bind them to chosen people, issue their missions, configure rewards, and receive feedback when they succeed. He selected Tang San as his first target, intending to make the original “Child of Destiny” into a tool for his own growth 1.

His early development came from exploiting subsystem users such as Tang San and Yu Xiaogang. Tang San’s completed mission evolved Lin Jiang’s Azure Vine into the Azure Divine Vine, while later feedback raised his physique, spiritual power, soul power, and inventory of special items 25 27 28. He initially frames Tang San and Yu Xiaogang as pieces in a larger game and consistently seeks to extract maximum value from every binding 1 25 42.

He is also confident under pressure and inclined to test himself against stronger opponents. Rather than retreating from Huyan Zhen’s challenge, he accepted it as a way to measure the gap between himself and a Soul Douluo 156.
