Duke wanted to gather Crystal Cores of six different attributes. Not only did he need to consider whether his reserves were sufficient, but he also had to see whether he was lucky enough to obtain them.
The four conventional attributes—earth, fire, wind, and water—were relatively easier to acquire. With enough familiarity, one might be able to wait for some to appear in the Black Sail Vault.
But it was not that easy either. Even the Black Sail Vault did not always have Crystal Cores of those attributes available; it depended on luck.
If he relied solely on waiting for the Black Sail Vault, poor luck might mean waiting many years. Generally, one needed to expand into more channels.
Crystal Cores were usually difficult to stockpile. Some Wizards had no choice but to settle for Crystal Cores with elements they were not most compatible with.
That was purely a desperate measure, often because they did not have much lifespan left and could not afford to wait. They could only raise their strength first.
Although Duke was still young and had not even truly reached the Liquefied Wizard stage, he still needed to prepare for the future and begin making arrangements in advance.
He glanced through the Black Sail Vault. There was currently only one Crystal Core: a Heart of Earth fragment with the Earth Attribute, worth fifteen thousand contribution points.
The Heart of Earth was formed deep within the core of a gigantic elemental mineral vein after hundreds of millions of years of geological changes and elemental deposits.
It was a mineral core containing the purest essence of the earth element.
It could appear as a deep dark gold, a heavy brownish color, or smooth jade-like stone. It was said that one could feel the pulse of the earth upon touching
