Daili shook her head as well. "There are no relevant records in the Light Church's texts. I don't know what it is either. But I can sense the aura of a god from it."
"The aura of a god..." Duke stared at the sphere before him, deep in thought.
Suddenly, the white sphere shot directly into Duke's body and vanished in an instant.
Both Duke and Daili stared at the scene in shock, not knowing what had happened.
A moment later, an enormous flood of information surged into his mind. Yet in an instant, it contracted again and settled deep within Duke's consciousness.
Duke realized that this was some kind of protective mechanism.
If that vast amount of information had been allowed to enter his mind freely, it could very well have damaged his mental power. Someone with weaker mental power might even have become an idiot outright.
