Otsutsuki Hagoromo watched the heavenly curtain and recognized Natsuki as an Otsutsuki, strengthening his resolve to kill him. In Konoha, Hyuga Sora secretly gathered evidence while continuing to seek revenge for his brother, Hyuga Kanade.

• Hagoromo saw a meteor carrying Hamura's power destroy Kumogakure and decided he needed to find a spokesperson to contact his brother.
• Hagoromo watched Jigen seize Urashiki Otsutsuki's body and realized Natsuki was an Otsutsuki after seeing him use Karma State II.
• Hagoromo's hostility toward Natsuki grew as he recognized them as belonging to opposing sides.
• Hyuga Sora found four clumps of pale-purple sludge while clearing toxins from Konoha's ruins and kept them as potential intelligence evidence.

Obito and Tobi returned to the Graveyard of Mountains, where Black Zetsu rejoined them and learned that their attempt to capture the Six-Tails had failed. • Isshiki recalled Kaguya’s betrayal, the history of the Chakra Fruit, and his own plan to monopolize the planet’s energy.
• Isshiki realized he had not learned that Obito had revealed the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path because he had been recovering after his battle in Konoha.
• Isshiki reasoned that the Otsutsuki controlling Natsuki either had arrived without a God Tree or was a blacklisted traitor who had no access to God Tree seeds.
• Isshiki concluded that the other Otsutsuki’s original body had been destroyed and that he had been sharing Natsuki’s body.

Jigen forcibly implanted Isshiki’s Karma into Urashiki to secure a stronger vessel, unaware that Soul Fragments were hidden throughout Urashiki’s body. Meanwhile, Obito transformed the captive C into his double and used the copy to test access to the Kamui Dimension.

• Jigen visited the Ten-Tails and then examined the unconscious Urashiki, deciding Urashiki could serve as a vessel despite the risks of implanting Karma into another Otsutsuki.
• Jigen began forcibly branding Urashiki with Isshiki’s Karma and injected power into his body to accelerate its thawing.
• Jigen did not realize Orochimaru’s low-level soul was not the only presence inside Urashiki; Soul Fragments were also concealed throughout the body.
• At the Graveyard of Mountains, Obito used his Rinnegan to reshape the unconscious C until he looked exactly like Obito.
• Obito awakened the transformed C, sent him into the Kamui Dimension, and returned with a smug smile.

Naruto defeated Sasuke in their ninth sparring match, leaving Sasuke worried that he could not help the Uchiha Clan or keep up with Naruto. Natsuki offered Sasuke a dangerous opportunity to catch up and sent him to wait atop the Hokage Building.

• Naruto used his Nine-Tails Cloak and Sage Mode to outfight Sasuke, and Natsuki stopped their sparring match.
• Sasuke told Natsuki that he had lost all nine recent matches, while Naruto said the fights had improved his control over his power.

• Tobirama recognized Orochimaru’s Reincarnation Jutsu, and Orochimaru explained that he was the Fifth Hokage while Minato managed Konoha as the Fourth.
• Orochimaru revealed that Uchiha Natsuki had ordered him to resurrect the Senju brothers, and Tobirama called the Uchiha an evil clan.
