"High-tier magical beast flesh essence, level six. We just received a batch, excellent quality. Thirty thousand for you. Three taels of active metal... Ninety-six thousand in total."

The shopkeeper paused, then added:

"Is this your first time at our shop, sir? By the rules, new customers get ten percent off. That comes to seventy-seven thousand four hundred. You can just pay seventy-seven thousand."

Lynn did not haggle. The price was somewhat lower than he had expected, and the shopkeeper's quote was fair enough.

"How long until everything is ready?"

"Some materials are in stock, while others need to be transferred from other shops." The shopkeeper considered it.

"Please wait half an hour, sir. I'll have someone handle it immediately."

Lynn nodded.

The shopkeeper rose, walked to the door, and called downstairs.

An apprentice ran up. The shopkeeper gave him a few quiet instructions, and the apprentice nodded repeatedly before racing back down.

The shopkeeper returned to the table and refilled Lynn's tea. "Please enjoy your tea, sir. It'll be ready soon."

Lynn lifted the cup and took a sip.

The tea was slightly bitter, followed by a faint sweetness, carrying a trace of coolness. It was probably brewed with some herb that refreshed the mind.

This single cup of tea alone was worth several magic stones.

Lynn set down his cup and swept his gaze over the paintings on the wall.

The paintings all depicted modified creatures: giants stitched with four arms, winged snakes, humans covered head to toe in scales.

Every painting was remarkably detailed, even showing the direction of every stitch with perfect clarity.

These were still relatively normal modifications, without those bizarre creatures covered in eyeballs, tiny hands, and tentacles.

Hmm... the sort of "Cthulhu creatures" that made you lose Sanity just from looking at them.
