Wayne emerged from the Hall of Truth's Mark and walked over to Lynn, giving him a once-over.
"Your Stigmata Domain is quite unique. I can't discern your rule affinity, and... why does it contain the aura of holy light?"
Lynn glanced at him and explained.
"I spent two years in the Holy Light Battlefield and gained a fairly deep understanding of the holy light rules there. The rules within my domain have been tainted by traces of holy light."
Wayne nodded in understanding.
"I also spent some time in the Holy Light Battlefield. The holy light rules there are far purer and more complex than those in the main world. It is suitable for people like us who cultivate holy light rules."
He paused and turned to look in the direction of the Bone Vault.
"I'm planning to apply to the academy soon to resign from my assignment guarding the Bone Vault and join the Holy Light Battlefield. I'll see whether I can use the rules there to break through to the sixth ring."
Lynn's brow twitched.
The sixth ring?
That was the peak of the Stigma realm, just one step away from becoming a True Spirit.
If Wayne truly broke through to the sixth ring, his status within the academy would be second only to the tower masters at the True Spirit level.
At the very least, he would be a figure at the vice dean level.
After all, even his own master's wife was only at the fifth ring. Her strength was probably inferior to Wayne's.
Wayne did not notice Lynn's expression.
He cast his gaze into the distance, as though he could see that towering golden pillar of light. Though they were separated by endless void, he would never forget the aura of the Holy Light Battlefield.
