Lynn sat in a corner on the third floor of the Bone Vault. The final rune of the restriction floated before him.

The invisible rune slowly revolved through the air like a curled-up spider.

He had been staring at this rune for three days. Throughout those three days, all three hundred of his workstations had been analyzing its structure.

The rune's structure was more complex than he had anticipated. It was not a single seal, but three nested layers, each with independent energy circuits and verification mechanisms.

The first layer verified energy frequency. The second verified soul fluctuations. The third was something he had never seen before—some sort of conceptual imprint tied to the Academy's history.

Lynn raised his right hand, and grayish-white light lit up at his fingertips.

The light split into three hundred strands, each one precisely piercing a node in the rune.

The rune trembled. The patterns on its surface twisted for more than ten breaths before the rune cracked apart.

The runes flickered in the air a few times, then dimmed.

The restriction had been undone...

Lynn withdrew his hand, leaned back in his chair, and let out a long breath.

He had grown used to drinking tea and chatting with Wayne. After Wayne left, the past half month had truly felt a little strange.

After taking over from Wayne, the white-haired man had never met with him, nor had he ever said more than a word to him.

No other Stigmas had entered the third floor either. There was only him and those silent bookshelves.

Now, it was finally over.

He straightened up and activated all three hundred workstations.

One book after another had its cover opened upon the shelves, and knowledge poured into the Memory
