As he ventured deeper and deeper into the Netherworld, Lynn discovered many strange new species.
In the distance, a herd of creatures was moving.
They were shaped like horses, though far larger, with four legs, long necks, and a single horn growing from their heads.
If the image had not been so dark, they could have cosplayed as holy unicorns.
Their skin was gray and covered in fine scales. Their eyes were red, especially glaring beneath the gray-white sky.
These were creatures unique to the Netherworld—Nether Horses, the standard mounts of the Netherworld.
They did not eat Undead or carrion. They fed only on Netherworld aura.
With their heads lowered and mouths pressed to the ground, they sucked in the specks of light drifting through the air.
Lynn walked past them. They raised their heads to glance at him, moved aside to a safe distance, then continued feeding.
Hmm... his Undead army did not seem to have a proper cavalry unit yet, did it?
Take them. Take them all!
After walking a while longer, Lynn saw a settlement ahead—the outer settlement marked on the crystal.
This settlement was one of the few human "outposts" in the Netherworld, specifically established to investigate the Netherworld and prevent a large-scale invasion.
Several rows of low stone houses formed a circle around an open space.
A stone pillar stood in the clearing, carved with runes that glowed silver-white.
It was a Wizard Array that resisted Netherworld and death aura. Though only a thin layer, it covered the entire town.
There were not many people in town: several dozen professionals dressed in all kinds of clothing, from leather armor and robes to worn cotton-padded jackets.
Some sat outside the stone houses, some squatted in the clearing, and some leaned against the stone pillar.
