The elements within the man's body churned wildly. His legs kicked helplessly in the air, and his hands clawed at his neck as if trying to pry away that invisible hand.

But the disparity in strength was simply too great. His struggle was futile.

"My lord... I didn't lie to you... I really saw it... at the rocky shore in the Northern Region..."

Lynn raised his left hand.

A dark blue light appeared at his fingertips and condensed into the tip of a needle.

The needle pierced through the man's brow and stabbed into his soul.

The man's body suddenly arched, his mouth opening as he let out a scream.

That sound did not come from his throat. It was a Soul Screech forced out from the depths of his soul.

Sharp and piercing, it sent a chill through everyone's soul.

The people nearby staggered back several steps in fright at the Soul Screech.

Some covered their ears. Some turned away, too afraid to look. Others had their legs go weak and had to lean against the stone walls beside them to keep from collapsing.

The old man stood at the front, his wooden staff planted on the ground. He did not retreat, but his fingers tightened around the staff.

Another needle stabbed in, and the man's scream grew even louder.
