As the light of the teleportation array faded, Lynn found himself standing on a platinum-colored stone platform.
Beside the stone platform stood a young man in a short white robe, a golden badge pinned to his chest, his entire body radiating an aura of holy light.
The badge bore the image of a sword plunged into a book—the emblem of the Sacred Flame Judgment Academy.
Seeing the teleportation array light up, the apprentice looked up, spotted Lynn, and hurried over to bow.
"My lord, welcome to Sacred Flame Judgment Academy Transit Station S-87. Will you be continuing your teleportation, or do you require a rest?"
The apprentice's voice was respectful, but his eyes held a trace of nervousness.
He had seen Lynn's robe. It was dark purple, seemingly the wizard robe of their mortal enemies, Bone Spire. There was a mark on the right side of his chest...
He had never seen that kind of mark before, but it looked far from ordinary.
Lynn did not answer. He simply walked around the stone platform on his own.
The southeastern corner of the platform had smooth stone slabs and was far from the teleportation runes. It was a good spot.
He took out an engraving knife from his ring and repeated what he had done before.
The apprentice frowned slightly.
This man... why was he acting so naturally? As if this were his own academy?
"My lord, you may not draw wizard arrays around the teleportation array. That is academy policy."
His voice was a little louder than before, though he remained respectful.
Lynn did not look up. Grayish-white light rose between his fingers, gathering at the tip of the engraving knife as he began carving the first rune.
The apprentice's expression changed. He hurried to the edge of the platform
