The best approach was to kill them in a single blow when they made their move, leaving them no chance to call for reinforcements.

Lynn did not move and continued to lie in wait.

To avoid alerting them, Lynn did not release the Shadow Insect Swarm. Instead, he relied on his own senses to perceive every movement around him.

The meteorite's surface was cold. With his palm pressed against the stone, he felt the faint vibrations: the footsteps of demons moving supplies, the energy fluctuations of runes, and the subtle tremors of the space-time turbulence.

He waited for them to reveal an opening, for the opportunity to come to him.

Lynn remained hidden behind the meteorite for seven days.

During those seven days, the Eggs of Chaos lackeys never stopped working.

They carried stones, dragged metal pipes, and carved runes into the ground.

The runes were crooked and twisted, as though something had trampled them before they were pieced back together. Fine cracks lined their edges, and gray-black light flickered within those cracks.

They seemed to contain the power of chaos and Space Severing.

The lackeys were quiet. No one spoke. Only the footsteps of moving supplies and the scraping of metal pipes across stone could be heard.

The Source Realm was quiet as well. The space-time turbulence still churned, and the fragments of worlds woven through it continued drifting
