By the time they returned to camp, the horizon had already begun to yellow.
Seeing the four-goblin exploration team drag back a plump Savage Beast, the other Goblins left behind immediately understood what they meant and silently gave them their approval.
The technician walked over with his sampling tools, took blood, muscle, and skin samples from the Savage Beast, then returned to the cabin for analysis.
A few minutes later, he brought his data tablet to the captain and reported, "Captain, the preliminary results are in. No contamination was detected in this creature's body. Its muscle tissue is rich in protein and fat, and its toxicity rating is zero."
The young Goblin beside him stared blankly for a moment before suddenly asking, "So... can we eat it?"
The technician paused and adjusted the goggles on his nose. "Theoretically, it is edible."
The young Goblin cheered and nearly jumped up. "Then what are we waiting for?! We've been eating compressed food for months. My mouth's been bland as hell. Today, we're finally having a feast!"
He ran straight toward the Savage Beast, then waved back after taking two steps. "Come on! Everyone, help out!"
The other Goblins immediately perked up and rushed over as well.
One Goblin brought over a folding frame and a metal grate, quickly assembling a simple grill.
Another Goblin squatted on the ground and skillfully slit open the Savage Beast's belly with a short knife, pulling its organs out to one side.
"Skin it and cut the meat into chunks." The captain walked over as well and directed them from the side.
The Goblins divided up the work clearly, some starting the fire while others cut the meat.
Before long, the Savage Beast had been chopped into chunks, skewered on metal rods, and placed over the fire
