"Who said being chief instructor meant locking you up in the Academy?" Cersei shot him a glare. "If you want to go out, you can leave whenever you like. The Academy will only call on you when it needs you."

"As for not knowing how to teach students..." Cersei glanced at him. "You're the renowned The Solver, yet you claim you cannot impart knowledge? If you can't do it, the other instructors are even less qualified."
Lynn did not answer immediately. He was indeed considering it.
The position of chief instructor was safe, lucrative, and did not require him to go to the front lines.
Compared to risking his life on the Abyss battlefield or the Holy Light Battlefield, this job was better by far.
Cersei continued, "You are already one of the Academy's few true powerhouses. Sooner or later, the Academy will have to arrange a position for you."
"The chief of the Soul Department is a safe and profitable post that countless people covet. Would you rather sit there, or be thrown onto a planar battlefield as a vanguard?"
Lynn's mouth twitched. Of course he did not want to go to a planar battlefield and expand the Academy's territory.
