When Belloc and the Skeleton Warriors were halfway there, the girl finally woke up.
She first twitched her fingers, felt the jolting motion around her, then slowly opened her eyes and raised her head.
What she saw were two terrifying skeletons right beside her, supporting her arms as they carried her forward.
The girl shuddered in fright and began struggling desperately. The tremendous force she produced nearly made the two Skeleton Warriors beside her lose their grip.

She screamed and struggled without pause, her voice thin and shrill.
Belloc raised a hand, signaling the Skeleton Warriors to release her.
The girl fell onto the ground, her face deathly pale.
In a panic, she pulled the wizard robe tightly around herself, then lowered her head and glanced inside it.
There was nothing underneath.
The girl's face instantly flushed crimson. Ashamed and frightened, she clutched the robe tightly over her chest.
"Where am I? Who are you people?" She backed away half a meter.
Belloc stepped forward, making his voice as gentle as possible. "Don't be afraid. You were rescued after encountering danger. You are now at Withered Bone Spire Academy. I am Belloc, the deputy of the Soul Department."
"Withered Bone Spire?" The girl froze for a moment, as though she had heard the name somewhere before.
She tried hard to recall something, but her mind was a complete mess. She could not remember anything.
The last thing she could remember was that she seemed to have died.
Whether she had been killed or died of illness, she could not tell. She only remembered coldness and darkness, as well as a long period of drifting in a daze.
