Black Mountain kicked off the ground, shooting toward Lynn like a black arrow at astonishing speed.
From the outside, all that remained was a black afterimage in the air.
Lynn did not dodge.
The Soul Projection, now almost completely insubstantial after using Soul Bomb, moved in front of him. Its glowing eyes swept over Black Mountain, knocking him back again.
This time, however, he steadied himself and charged again as soon as he landed.
The Shadow Armor had absorbed the damage from the beam of light, leaving him completely unharmed.
"Kid, how much longer can that projection of yours last?" Black Mountain asked with a gritted smile. "That ability drained it dry, didn't it?"
He was not wrong. After firing that final beam from its glowing eyes, the Soul Projection was already on the verge of dissolving, unable to attack again.
It tried to raise its hand to attack, but halfway up, its arm broke apart and scattered.
Black Mountain gave a savage grin, rushed up to Lynn again, and punched him in the face.
Lynn's head snapped to the side. The corner of his mouth split, and blood ran down his chin.
He took a step back and tried to swing his sword in retaliation, but Black Mountain stepped forward with him and drove another punch into his stomach.
"What's wrong?" Black Mountain said. "Your Soul Projection's finished, and now you can't move either?"
The third punch struck Lynn in the chest.
The blow sent Lynn stumbling backward, nearly knocking him off his feet.
Black Mountain did not stop. A fourth punch, a fifth-he hammered Lynn with blow after blow.
