In Holy Soul Village, a young boy was walking along the village path. This boy was Lin Yang. Lin Yang was puzzled that after waking up, he had transmigrated into the Douluo Continent and been adopted by the village head, Jack. Lin Yang had initially been happy, but after calling for a system a dozen times in his head with no response, he had to accept that he didn't have one. As Lin Yang stood there lost in thought, someone around his age approached him. "Lin Yang, what are you thinking about?" "Nothing." Lin Yang snapped out of his trance to look at Tang San. Tang San had given him a lot of help, and Lin Yang felt it wasn't Tang San's character that was the problem, but the fault of that Yu Xiaogang. Lin Yang thought about killing Yu Xiaogang someday. After chatting for a few more moments, they returned to their respective homes. Lin Yang pushed open his door, "Grandpa Jack, I'm home." An old man, who looked to be seventy or eighty with a wrinkled face and calloused hands, emerged from the room and said with a smile, "Little Yang, you're back." "I am." Jack patted Lin Yang's head, "Go eat." Lin Yang ran to the dining table and began to wolf down his food. "Little Yang, in a few days, you'll be awakening your martial soul." "So soon!" Jack nodded. A few days later, under a bright midday sky, Tang San was making porridge for Tang Hao, who was busy drinking. "Dad, the porridge is ready." "Just leave it on the table," Tang Hao replied perfunctorily. "Knock, knock, knock." A rapping sound came from outside. "Open the door," Jack's voice echoed from outside. Tang San trotted to the door and opened it, "Grandpa Jack, why are you here?" "Oh, it's Little San." Jack smiled kindly, "Let's go, I'm taking you to awaken your martial soul." Tang San hesitated, but a voice drifted from inside the house, "Go, don't let it interfere with lunch." Jack brought Tang San, Lin Yang, and the other children to a young man. "His name is Su Yuntao, and he is a Soul Grandmaster." Su Yuntao pushed open the door behind him, "Let the children in." "Go on, Grandpa hopes you all become soul masters." The door closed, and Jack kept his eyes on it. Inside the room, Lin Yang leaned toward Tang San, "Are you nervous?" "No." Lin Yang wanted to say more, but Su Yuntao suddenly shouted, "Quiet! Line up and come one by one." A few minutes later, the others had all awakened their souls, but none had any Soul Power. Tang San stepped forward. Su Yuntao raised his hand to channel Soul Power into the awakening stones. Tang San raised his right hand, and a Blue Silver Grass with a golden pattern in the center appeared. Meanwhile, Lin Yang's gaze fell upon the pitch-black hammer appearing in Tang San's left hand behind his back—the Clear Sky Hammer. It really is just like the original work, Lin Yang thought. "Blue Silver Grass, a trash martial soul. Next."
"Uncle, I haven't tested my Soul Power yet." Su Yuntao replied, "Fine, it won't take long anyway. Put your hand on the crystal ball." The moment Tang San placed his hand on it, the crystal ball emitted a dazzling light. "Innate Full Soul Power!"
Su Yuntao couldn't believe it, then sighed, "It's a pity the martial soul is Blue Silver Grass. Next." Lin Yang stepped forward. Su Yuntao performed the same procedure as before. Behind Lin Yang appeared a creature with a green body, red patterns on its head, black sides on its belly, and two pairs of sharp claws. Lin Yang froze; the green dragon before him was Rayquaza from Pokémon. Damn, this is wrong, Lin Yang thought. This is the Douluo Continent, what the hell is Rayquaza doing here? Lin Yang placed his hand on the crystal ball, and it emitted a light even more blinding than Tang San's. "Innate Level 20 Soul Power!"
