The Ice Empress instantly bristled.
"Take your hoof off Xue'er's waist!"
Waving her hands, she charged forward as if she were about to fight Xuan Xiao to the death.
The Snow Empress reached out and pressed a finger against her forehead, giving her a gentle push that sent her back. Her tone carried helpless indulgence.
"Bing'er, don't make trouble."
Xu Jiawei coughed twice and steered the conversation back on track.
"Ahem, Young Master Xuan Xiao, has that chamber of commerce of yours been built? I've seen you busy with it all year. It should be about finished by now, shouldn't it?"
Xuan Xiao nodded, confidence in his voice.
"It's finished. We can announce it now and let the city residents prepare themselves for the impact. The commotion might be a little large, so they should be mentally prepared."
Xu Jiujiu's eyes immediately lit up at that. She had long wanted to see what that mysterious building was.
"Come with me. I'll take you to the plot."
The group arrived at the plot in the eastern district of Star Luo City. It had already been cleared, and warning lines had been set up around it to keep unauthorized people away.
Xuan Xiao stood in the center of the open ground, took a deep breath, and lightly pointed toward the sky.
The next second, a sudden change occurred.
A colossal silver-gray tower, over five hundred meters tall and with a top surface area exceeding a kilometer, appeared out of thin air above the clouds and slowly descended toward the ground.
The tower was entirely silver-gray, covered in dense runes and patterns that gleamed coldly beneath the sunlight.
"What is that? A tower? A giant tower!"
"No! It's coming down! Run!"
Pedestrians on the streets looked up at the giant tower falling from
