Jiang Jing and Zhang Haocheng both frowned when they saw each other's Pokémon.

Zhang Haocheng inwardly cursed. He had thought victory was in the bag, but he hadn't expected his opponent to have a Steel-type Pokémon like Aron. It was damn hard to deal with.

Jiang Jing had not expected Zhang Haocheng's starter Pokémon to be Tauros.

Since it had no evolutionary form, it was not constrained by its size. It was an excellent combat-ready Pokémon, and with its size advantage, the same moves could unleash greater power.

It could be said that in the early stages, when everyone's Pokémon were still young, it held a particularly great advantage.

An opponent like Tauros had come at just the right time.

"Aron, use Iron Defense!"

Tauros widened its eyes, and its three tails began swaying rhythmically. An invisible force of Captivate seemed to sweep toward Aron through the air.

But Aron's will was firm, and it remained unaffected. It vigorously shook its head and activated its own move—Iron Defense.

Iron Defense was an advanced version of Harden. The boost to its defense was far more obvious. Its effect was plain to see: its skin became as hard as iron, greatly increasing its defense.

Countless strands of grayish-black energy spread from its body, covering its surface and forming a thin film. From the outside, its color had turned grayish-black, with a metallic sheen.

Aron's metallic-sheened head smashed viciously into Tauros's head. Tauros was no pushover either; its head was absurdly hard.

The loud crash drew everyone else's attention, and several people ran over curiously to watch.

The collision sent both Pokémon flying back, but Tauros was clearly forced farther away, its hooves gouging two deep trails into the ground.

Its head had been struck with a dull thud, leaving it somewhat dizzy. It had to shake its head hard before recovering.

Aron was in roughly the same condition. The immense impact slammed into its head, but most of the force had been blocked by its hard skull, while it endured the rest.

"Aron, use Headbutt again!"

"Tauros, use Horn Attack!"

This time, Zhang Haocheng stopped probing. It was useless. He directly used his most powerful move—Horn Attack.

Sun Le curiously asked Liu Bin, "Who do you think will win?"

Liu Bin answered without hesitation, "Definitely Brother Jing. Who else could it be, Zhang Haocheng?"

Sun Le said gloomily, "How can you tell?"

Liu Bin said, "What's there to tell? Brother Jing has always been invincible, okay? I guarantee Zhang Haocheng's Tauros is no match for Brother Jing's Aron."

In the arena, Tauros and Aron collided once more. Head met horns, and both were knocked back again.

A loud boom rang out. They seemed evenly matched, but Jiang Jing could clearly see that Tauros was knocked farther back every time.

Its head was probably still ringing, dizzy and aching, but it forcibly endured it.

Then the two Pokémon collided again. The simplest attacks were often the most effective.

Both were knocked back once more. This time, Tauros was sent flying and crashed to the ground, unable to even stand steadily.

Aron also felt dizzy, its vision slightly blurred, but it could still hold on.

"Tauros, use Horn Attack once more! Hang in there!" Zhang Haocheng said, clenching his fists.

"Aron, Headbutt!"

The two Pokémon slammed into each other again. This style of fighting was rather dull, but using other moves was meaningless. By the time you used them, the opponent's attack would already have hit you.

From this latest collision, it was clear that both Tauros and Aron had slowed down. Tauros was even swaying unsteadily.

Aron was not in good condition either, but it was used to it. Whenever daily training exhausted it, its master Jiang Jing would encourage it from the side.

Aron shook its head, feeling its head hurt even more. Just as it prepared to launch another attack, it realized its opponent had already fallen.

Liu Bin clapped and shouted loudly, "Haha, we won! Brother Jing won! I knew Brother Jing would definitely win!"
