Chapter 21
Because Qin Dingbang had delayed them for a while, it was already past ten at night by the time Qin Rong returned to the room. Qin Yi, who had already woken up, sat on the king-size bed with his bags packed, still wearing a white long robe commonly seen in wuxia television dramas. Qin Rong frowned in puzzlement. "What are you doing?"
"Don't you think I look like a jade-like young master, elegant and refined?" Qin Yi asked smugly from the bed, waving a paper fan.
"..." Wisely choosing not to shatter Qin Yi's fantasy, Qin Rong merely said calmly, "Since you're ready, let's go to Andre's place."
"Wait!" Qin Yi suddenly stopped him. He then picked up a neatly folded set of clothes from the side and said to Qin Rong, "This set is yours."
"..." Qin Rong expressionlessly looked at Qin Yi, who was sitting on the bed with a hopeful expression and practically wagging his tail. He silently accepted the clothes and went into the changing room, emerging after changing.
Although Qin Rong was only thirteen, he ran every morning to exercise and was a member of the school tennis club. After several years of training, he had grown to around 1.67 meters tall. Still, wearing clothes clearly meant for an adult man from ancient times looked awkward no matter how he looked at it. With a dark expression, he dragged the self-absorbed Qin Yi into the space.
Inside the space, all kinds of items collected and acquired over the past two months were laid out on the ground, along with historical materials from various dynasties. The black mist that belonged to Andre was anxiously circling in place. Upon seeing Qin Rong and Qin Yi, it immediately drifted over and asked, "Are you ready? Can we go now?"
"Yes." Qin Rong took a deep breath, suppressing the excitement in his heart as he nodded.
Qin Yi, meanwhile, asked Andre eagerly, "What time are we going to?"
"The Three Kingdoms Period," Andre answered casually. "I found that it was rather chaotic then, so it should be easy to gather Faith Power."
"The Three Kingdoms?" Qin Yi sucked in a breath, his eyes practically glowing with excitement. "I love the Three Kingdoms the most. Will we get to see Zhao Yun and Lü Bu? They're my favorites."
"I like Zhuge Liang." Andre was equally excited. "Because I found that he was the smartest."
"Of course, we Chinese people—"
"Hey, hey..."
"Enough!" Qin Rong interrupted their discussion with a dark look on his face. "Let's hurry and go. We can discuss whatever it is after we get there."
"Alright." Andre readily agreed and immediately said to the two of them, "Now close your eyes and hold hands. I'll send you directly to the location of J City during the Three Kingdoms Period. What you do after that will be up to you."
"Okay!" Qin Rong and Qin Yi answered together, then closed their eyes and quietly waited for the miracle to happen.
First came their limbs, which felt as though they had been gently wrapped in a soft force. Then came their five senses, as though something had blocked them. Qin Yi felt like a butterfly encased within a cocoon, protected from the forces outside. Though his eyes were closed, he could still sense himself speeding forward, everything remarkably smooth. But suddenly, as though they had crashed into something, his entire body began to shake. Their course abruptly veered slightly, and after an unknown length of time, they came to a violent stop. The sensation of his thoughts still surging forward made Qin Yi instinctively open his eyes.
A familiar blond, blue-eyed face was staring at him in utter shock.
"Kate Verus, why are you here?" Qin Yi cried out instinctively.
"Qin Yi, you actually came over here?" Kate shouted in disbelief as well.
"What exactly is going on?" they yelled in unison. Kate's surprise was unconscious, but Qin Yi was asking Andre in the space.
"I don't know what happened either. The trajectory was fine at first, but then Kate suddenly sent a communication request. After I connected it, it turned into this," Andre said innocently.
"Kate, why did you call me for no reason?" Qin Yi immediately glared fiercely at Kate. You're the culprit.
"I wanted to tell you about spreading the religion. Didn't you say last time that you wanted to use some Saint Fruit to win people over? We've run into some trouble," Kate said just as innocently. "How could I have known you'd suddenly cross over? But how did you get here? This is a miracle, a miracle even the Cosmic Bank can't explain!"
"Don't talk about that now. Wait for me." Qin Yi grabbed Qin Rong's hand and rushed into a nearby room, shutting the door with a bang before entering Andre's space.
"What do we do now?" Qin Yi felt like his mind had tied itself into knots.
"Because we crossed into another plane, my divine power is basically gone now," Andre said timidly.
"So that means we can't go back?" Qin Yi wailed dejectedly. So his Three Kingdoms journey was gone. Awoo...
"Yes." Andre's mood fell as well. His Faith Power, sob...
"What are you two doing?" Seeing the pitiful expressions of Qin Yi and Andre, like abandoned puppies, Qin Rong could not help trying to console them. "Although reality differs from what we imagined, wasn't our ultimate goal to gather Faith Power? Now that we've crossed into Kate's plane, our earlier efforts may have been partly wasted, but we can still keep gathering Faith Power here. And because of the contract, Kate will help us too. Isn't that good?"
"You're right!" Qin Yi looked at Andre and suddenly understood.
"But won't you blame me for not sending you to the Three Kingdoms?" Andre thought about it, still sounding uncertain.
"Why would we?" Qin Yi said in surprise. Then he suddenly leaned forward and wrapped his arms around Andre's black mist in an imitation of a hug. "Actually, I've always been very grateful for everything you've done for me. Now it's time for me to repay you."
"That's good." Andre nodded and seemed to breathe out a relieved puff of black mist.
"By the way, Andre, what do you actually look like?" Qin Yi suddenly asked curiously.
"Me?" Andre widened his eyes and pointed at himself.
"Yes! I've never seen what you look like." Only then did Qin Yi realize that there was no image of Andre at all in his memories. The Andre he remembered was only a clear voice and a cloud of black mist that he could never see through.
"I don't really know what I look like either. But if I have enough Faith Power, I can take form," Andre said.
"Alright! Then our first goal is to gather enough Faith Power for Andre to form a physical body." Qin Yi quickly set their first objective.
With the basic plan settled, Qin Yi and Qin Rong searched the space for a few useful items—such as the Desert Eagle—before leaving the room.
Outside, Kate had been waiting so anxiously that he could neither sit nor stand still. Seeing Qin Yi and Qin Rong finally emerge, he immediately stepped forward and asked, "Do you have a way to freely travel between planes?"
"Of course not," Qin Rong said decisively. "This was only an accident."
Too many people absolutely could not know about Andre. That was for everyone's safety. As for what Kate might think, that was up to him.
"Fine." Kate could tell that Qin Rong was brushing him off. He nodded helplessly and said, "I'll arrange things for you first. You don't know anyone here, so stay with me for now. I'll tell everyone that you're my friends."
"Then thank you," Qin Rong replied with a nod.
"Oh, right. No one in my family knows that I'm a Plane Merchant, so I hope you can keep it secret as well," Kate said, remembering something.
"Understood." Qin Rong nodded. That would make the safety of the two of them even more secure.
"Now..." Kate turned back and picked up two sets of clothes from the table. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do. You should make yourselves look like people from this plane."
"Alright." Qin Yi and Qin Rong accepted the clothes and returned to their room to change out of their white hero outfits.
By the time they came out, Kate was gone. A young woman dressed as a servant was waiting outside the door. Upon seeing them emerge, she immediately stepped forward, bowed, and led them toward the sitting room.
There, Kate had already prepared a lavish meal.
"My friends, welcome to my territory." Once the two sat down at the long table, Kate, seated at the head, immediately rose with a glass of red wine in hand.
"Thank you." Qin Yi and Qin Rong raised their own glasses in return, then took a small sip. The familiar flavor spread through their mouths, and the two exchanged knowing smiles.
"It truly is delicious wine." Kate sighed in delight once more. Then, holding his knife and fork in both hands, he introduced the food on the table while eating.
"This is a level-six magical beast, the Flame Chicken. Its body contains abundant fire elements, and its meat is delicious and tender. It's a favorite food among the upper nobility." As Kate spoke, he cut a piece of white meat from the drumstick and placed it before Qin Yi and Qin Rong. "Not only that, consuming large amounts of Flame Chicken meat can also increase the fire elements in your body."
"Really?" Qin Yi looked skeptically at the meat before cutting off a small piece and putting it into his mouth. It tasted somewhat like chicken, though it was clearly not as delicious as food prepared on Earth.
"Oh, it seems you aren't very satisfied with the Flame Chicken." Kate was observant enough to notice the lack of approval on Qin Yi and Qin Rong's faces, and he spoke regretfully. Then he pointed to a large platter of roasted meat in the center of the table—
"This is the meat of a level-five magical beast, the Savage Water Beast. Swordsmen generally like it because eating it can increase the strength of the body." As he spoke, Kate personally cut off another piece and placed it before Qin Yi and Qin Rong. "Please, have a taste, my honored guests from afar."
Qin Yi once again cut off a small piece and put it into his mouth. This time, it tasted somewhat like beef from Earth, but he still felt no increase in strength after eating it.
"Still no feeling?" Kate shook his head helplessly. "As expected, the constitutions of different planes are different."
"Then try this..." Kate continued.
By the end of the meal, although they had not felt any increase in strength or magical elements like Kate had described, and the food had not even been as delicious as Earth's, the two still enjoyed themselves. The dessert afterward made Qin Yi, who loved sweets, beam with delight. Kate also took the opportunity to order another batch of wine from Qin Rong and Qin Yi. The atmosphere gradually grew livelier. Just as they had finished chatting and were preparing to go out for a stroll, the butler came in to announce that Kate's good friend, the second young master of the Covell Family, had arrived.
Author's Note: So I originally wanted to write about time travel.
But as I kept writing, I suddenly wanted to write a fantasy world on another continent.

Chapter 22
The second young master of the Covell Family had fiery red hair and a pair of jet-black eyes. According to Kate, these were the signs of a Half-Demon. Qin Yi and Qin Rong's black hair and black eyes, on the other hand, marked them as High Demons, commonly known as nobles. According to Kate, the Demonfolk's class system was extremely strict. In particular, underage High Demons almost never had opportunities to go out alone. So, as Kate had explained, when the second young master of the Covell Family arrived later, he might make some rather exaggerated movements.
