Unicorn Earthworm Dragon

A spiritual radiance rose around Red Cloud, transforming into a protective barrier that kept the turbid qi and Sha Qi outside.

This was Life Light, one of the Seventy-Two Earthly Fiendish Divine Powers. It could emit divine light to protect the body—impervious to all techniques, untouched by every evil, its radiance covering the entire body, its wondrous uses endless.

A thoughtful expression appeared on Red Cloud's face. There was no Earth Vein here to transform the turbid qi and Sha Qi. Unless he resolved the root of the problem, talking about purifying this place was nothing but empty boasting.

The root lay with the Earth Vein. If he could restore it, then even without his help, this place would recover sooner or later. But an Earth Vein was not so easily repaired, and not just anyone could claim such merit.

After pondering for a long time, Red Cloud found a direction for resolving the Earth Vein problem within the Earth Demon God's Inheritance he carried.

Red Cloud took out the Qilin Pill he had obtained from the Earth Qilin, then began searching for the Earth Vein Fragments scattered throughout this place.

The Earth Qilin was an Innate Being born from an Earth Vein, also known as an Earth Vein Spirit. Its Qilin Pill was the material most likely to repair a shattered Earth Vein.

Carrying the Qilin Pill, Red Cloud sank underground. The turbid qi and Sha Qi below were even denser, and they even eroded the power of the Primordial Spirit, suppressing its perception.

At first, Red Cloud had assumed that such a perilous environment contained no living creatures. Yet after delving deep underground, he discovered that living beings did exist within the soil.

They were creatures resembling earthworms, their bodies entirely blood-red. A single horn grew from each of their heads, but they had no eyes, while dragon scales of varying sizes covered their bodies.

Through his Primordial Spirit, Red Cloud sensed the Heavenly Dao and learned that these creatures were called Unicorn Earthworm Dragons. They were mixed-blood Dragon Species. Dragons were lecherous by nature; the dragon bore nine sons, and each was different.

Unicorn Earthworm Dragons possessed extraordinarily powerful vitality. Though the environment here was vicious, generation after generation had adapted, forming a unique subspecies.

Normal Unicorn Earthworm Dragons were yellow. Yet after absorbing vast amounts of turbid qi and Sha Qi, the ones here had turned blood-red, their temperaments becoming increasingly brutal.

As soon as Red Cloud entered their territory, the Unicorn Earthworm Dragons roared and charged toward him one after another.

To Red Cloud, these little worms that had not even reached the Heavenly Immortal realm could be blown to death with a single breath.

Red Cloud directly brought out the Qilin Pill. A heavy, boundless force descended, suppressing and killing every Unicorn Earthworm Dragon within several hundred li, their entire essence absorbed by the Qilin Pill.

Red Cloud continued sinking deeper into the earth. After descending tens of thousands of meters, a sudden sensation arose within him.

It was as though something were drawing him onward.

Could there be some treasure here?

This thought flashed through Red Cloud's mind. Following the sensation, he arrived at a place where he sensed spatial fluctuations. There should be a Dimensional World inside.

Among the famed blessed lands and grotto-heavens of the Primordial World, there were ten great grotto-heavens, thirty-six lesser grotto-heavens, and seventy-two blessed lands. All others were Dimensional Worlds.

Dimensional Worlds were small worlds attached to the Primordial World. Some were vast and some small; the largest stretched across hundreds of millions of light-years, while even the smallest spanned several thousand to ten thousand light-years.

Red Cloud entered this Dimensional World. Within it, birds sang amid fragrant flowers, streams murmured softly, and spiritual qi was exceedingly dense.

Of course, this Dimensional World was attached to the heavens and earth of the Primordial World rather than being a self-contained realm. If the Primordial World continued to decline in rank, the Dimensional World would likewise keep shrinking.

By the era of declining Dharma, these Dimensional Worlds might turn into nothing more than ordinary caves. That would hardly be surprising.

Red Cloud swept his divine sense through this Dimensional World and found that it was not small, spanning more than a thousand light-years.

At the center of the world lay a stretch of void, within which floated an earthen-yellow crystal.

With a single step, Red Cloud arrived before the crystal. His Primordial Spirit sensed the Heavenly Dao, and he learned that this was the Earth Vein Fragment he had been seeking. This very fragment had also evolved into this Dimensional World.

Red Cloud muttered, "The thing that stirred my senses was this Earth Vein Fragment?"

Then Red Cloud took out the Qilin Pill. The power of the earth drew in the Earth Vein Fragment, which subsequently merged into the Qilin Pill.

Placing the Qilin Pill into an Earth Vein could nurture a new Earth Qilin. Red Cloud did the opposite, using the Qilin Pill to nurture a new Earth Vein. These Earth Vein Fragments were both seeds and nourishment.

Once the Earth Vein Fragment was removed, the Dimensional World became unstable, and cracks began appearing throughout the void.

As Red Cloud prepared to leave, he suddenly saw a flash of yellow light flicker through the depths of the dimensional space.

At that instant, the stirring in Red Cloud's heart intensified. He realized that the yellow light was the thing truly connected to his senses.

Layer after layer of void was torn apart by Red Cloud. He reached out with his great hand, and a streak of light flew out from the depths of the void.

The streak of light landed before Red Cloud. As its yellow halo scattered, it revealed an essence crystal radiating the aura of the earth.

"This is... Earth Essence?!"

Red Cloud's eyes lit up. Earth Essence was a divine material of the same caliber as Ice Soul Essence, and it was also one of the materials used to nurture Earth Veins. It had fallen into his lap without any effort at all.

Red Cloud looked at the Earth Essence in his hand with some regret. Such top-grade divine material was exceedingly difficult to come by, yet in the end, he still drew it into the Qilin Pill.

After the dimension collapsed, Red Cloud returned underground and continued gathering the scattered Earth Vein Fragments.

There were truly quite a few Unicorn Earthworm Dragons beneath this perilous land. Red Cloud encountered several almost every time.

Several years passed in succession. Red Cloud traversed the entire perilous land and ultimately found every Earth Vein Fragment he could locate, then arrived at the center of the dangerous region.

At the center of the perilous land stood a great mountain. This had once been where the Earth Vein rose above the ground. After the Earth Vein shattered, the turbid qi and Sha Qi steaming forth here became the strongest.

Weak creatures could not survive here, but for the mutated Unicorn Earthworm Dragons, this was a sacred ground for cultivation. Naturally, Unicorn Earthworm Dragons had claimed it as their territory.

After entering the mountain range, Red Cloud's vision was obscured by the miasma billowing up from underground.

Red Cloud tried using the power of his Primordial Spirit to sense his surroundings, only to find that the miasma suppressed the Primordial Spirit.

Everything within his field of vision was murky and gray. Red Cloud sighed inwardly. In such an environment, sudden ambushes were best suited to flourish, greatly disadvantaging cultivators who specialized in the Primordial Spirit.

Even with his cultivation, Red Cloud found his surroundings indistinct, while the turbid qi and Sha Qi continued their erosion.

Life Light shone outside Red Cloud's body, blocking the turbid qi and Sha Qi beyond him as he plunged headlong into the miasma-shrouded mountain.

The moment Red Cloud stepped into this mountain, the Unicorn Earthworm Dragon King cultivating deep beneath the earth sensed him.

A white crow among a flock of black crows would be exceedingly conspicuous. The pure, spiritual aura brimming from Red Cloud's body was like a candle flame in the darkness.

Because the environment was so harsh, few living beings ventured this deep. Even if someone came here, the Unicorn Earthworm Dragon Clan would leave them behind, for they did not wish to be disturbed. This was the rare pure land of their clan.

With a thought from the Unicorn Earthworm Dragon King, the Unicorn Earthworm Dragons living around the mountain were awakened one after another.

Ferocious roars rang out one after another.

Red light flickered over the Unicorn Earthworm Dragons' bodies. Their cold killing intent affected the surroundings, causing the turbid qi to churn.

At the Unicorn Earthworm Dragon King's summons, Unicorn Earthworm Dragons left their nests one after another and tunneled directly toward Red Cloud. The entire mountain began to boil.
