Sunfire Moth

Time went unrecorded in the Primordial World; in the blink of an eye, seas had turned to mulberry fields.

After obtaining the Water Spirit Pearl, Red Cloud continued toward Buzhou Mountain. Another thousand years passed on the journey.

One day, Red Cloud arrived at a Land of Eternal Day illuminated by the supreme sun. There was no night here.

This place was shrouded year-round by the power of the Sun Star, while the Moon Star's power could not reach it.

There were no clouds in the sky here. Strands of Sun Power visible to the naked eye streamed down from the Sun Star.

Upon entering this Land of Eternal Day, Red Cloud felt a terrifying heat, as though he had stepped into a furnace. Everywhere he looked was a blinding white.

There were likewise mountain ranges, forests, plains, basins, and other terrains in the Land of Eternal Day, but every trace of life had adapted itself to the light.

Life Light shone across Red Cloud's body, shielding him from the direct rays of Sun Power and blocking all light and heat outside.

This instead allowed Red Cloud to blend into his surroundings, for every creature in the Land of Eternal Day could breathe in and out Sun Power, their entire bodies radiating light and heat.

The creatures of the Land of Eternal Day had counterparts elsewhere. Red Cloud knew they shared common ancestors and had merely changed in adaptation to their environment.

Just like the Unicorn Earthworm Dragons Red Cloud had encountered before, they had evolved regional subspecies because of their environment.

Because the environment was harsh, the creatures of the Land of Eternal Day were inferior to those outside, but there were still many races here.

The Land of Eternal Day was not without darkness. Yet wherever darkness existed, there was inevitably a powerful creature, because that creature had absorbed the light and heat.

Red Cloud could see patches of darkness suddenly emerge now and then throughout the Land of Eternal Day, only to be swallowed by light again in an instant.

The Sun Power here was far too abundant. It could not compare to that upon the Sun Star, but it was beyond comparison with any other place.

"The Sun Star is difficult to reach. Since the Sun Power here is so dense, perhaps there are treasures that can only be nurtured on the Sun Star, such as Great Sun Essence Gold or Solar Divine Crystals..."

Red Cloud murmured inwardly as he spread his divine sense across a territory of ten thousand miles, searching places where treasures might exist.

As Red Cloud's divine sense enveloped this region, his utterly unrestrained probing drew the attention of this place's overlord—a fluttering moth.

On a lofty cliff lived a large moth-like creature. Its eyes were blue, while a pair of red antennae curled around its cheeks. Its body was plump, its upper body ringed by white fluff, and it had four small feet.

The center of its abdomen was black, its outer portion pale blue. Three pairs of orange-red wings grew from its back, while black spots were scattered across the wings and the outside of its abdomen.

This was a Sunfire Moth that lived in the Land of Eternal Day, said to be a creature that had come from the Sun Star.

"Hm? A Sunfire Moth?!"

Red Cloud also noticed this Sunfire Moth.

From its body, Red Cloud sensed a dense aura of light. Though it could not be called especially pure, its power was still primarily Sun Power.

This Sunfire Moth was even larger than a Titan Elephant. With fangs and razor-sharp teeth, it could tear a person to shreds in one bite.

The Sunfire Moth flew into the sky, emanating terrifying light and heat, like a second sun.

"Turn to ashes beneath the great sun!!"

The Sunfire Moth let out a shrill cry. Its wings beat behind it, forming a blazing tornado.

The tornado shot straight toward Red Cloud in the air. Wherever it passed, even mountains, rocks, grass, and trees were burned to ash.

"You dare attack me with merely the strength of a Mysterious Immortal?"

Red Cloud examined the Sunfire Moth, his brows faintly furrowed. He calculated the heavenly secrets, then abruptly understood.

The Primordial World had Five Creatures: naked, scaled, furred, feathered, and shelled. The Five Creatures divided all races.

Naked creatures referred to beings with exposed body surfaces, without conspicuous fur, feathers, scales, or armor. Their representatives and leaders were beings in Primordial Dao Body form, and they also included creatures such as earthworms and frogs.

Scaled creatures referred to beings whose bodies were covered in scales. They mainly included fish, as well as scaled beings such as snakes and lizards. Their leader was the Flood Dragon.

Furred creatures referred to beings whose bodies were covered in fur. They mainly included beasts such as oxen and horses, corresponding to some modern mammals. Their leader was the Qilin.

Feathered creatures referred to beings whose bodies were covered in feathers. They mainly included birds such as chickens and ducks. Their leader was the Phoenix.

Shelled creatures referred to beings with shells or hard exoskeletons, including shelled creatures such as turtles, soft-shelled turtles, crabs, and clams, as well as some creatures considered insects in the modern sense. Their leader was the Spirit Tortoise/Divine Tortoise.

Sunfire Moths could fly, had no scales or armor, and lacked conspicuous fur, so they belonged to the feathered creatures among the Five Creatures.

Among the Five Creatures, naked creatures were the most special—or rather, the creatures among them in Primordial Dao Body form were special. All things could cultivate into a Primordial Dao Body.

In the Primordial World, the Primordial Dao Body was closest to the Great Dao, because this was the form Pangu had taken when transforming into the Primordial World.

The Sunfire Moth let out a miserable scream. Its Primordial Spirit was obliterated, but its body remained undamaged and was collected by Red Cloud.

Red Cloud opened his hand. A palm-sized Sunfire Moth that radiated light and heat lay in his palm.

After finishing all this, Red Cloud headed deeper into the Land of Eternal Day and soon encountered more Sunfire Moths.

After the Sunfire Moth cried for help, the entire Land of Eternal Day boiled over. Knowing that an external enemy had invaded, some powerful Sunfire Moths flew toward this place.

The moment they saw Red Cloud, the Sunfire Moths were about to attack. But before they could, Red Cloud struck first and killed them, even giving them a "butcher's dismemberment of an ox."
