Rewards for Saving the Universe

Shin smiled. "You flatter me. Let's leave the small talk at that. Goku, you make your wish first."

Son Goku rubbed his chin and said with a headache, "But I don't really have any wish I want granted... Ah! Right! I do have one wish!"

Seeing Son Goku's eyes light up, Shin smiled. "Go on. What is your wish?"

Son Goku stared at Shin with blazing eyes...

Seeing this.

Piccolo, Vegeta, Son Gohan, and the others who understood Son Goku felt their hearts skip a beat. This guy couldn't be thinking...

"Lord Supreme Kai, my wish is for you to please spar with me!" Son Goku said solemnly.

Sure enough!

Everyone thought to themselves.

Piccolo was so angry that his body trembled. He wished he could punch Son Goku's head open and see what exactly was inside it!

"Goku!" Piccolo shouted.

But Son Goku ignored him, merely staring intently at Shin as he awaited his answer.

Shin smiled. "You want to spar with me? Is that all?"

"Yes! That's all!" Son Goku said firmly.

Shin nodded. "All right, I accept."

"Great! Then let's get started!" Son Goku eagerly assumed a fighting stance, leaving everyone around him speechless as they covered their faces.

Shin raised a hand to stop Son Goku and reassured him, "Easy, Goku. Your wish is far too simple. Sparring with you will just be an extra bonus."

"Since you don't know what wish you want, let me decide for you."

Shin raised a hand and pointed. A green ray of light representing life shot toward Son Goku...

Son Goku curiously watched the green light on his body. His whole body became warm and comfortable.

Buzz~

The halo above Son Goku's head, the mark of the dead, vanished.

Seeing this.

The people nearby widened their eyes!

Son Gohan blankly pointed at his father's head and reminded him in shock, "D-Dad... the halo above your head... it's gone!"

"The halo?" Son Goku curiously touched the top of his head. When he failed to feel the familiar dead man's halo, he looked up and saw that it really was gone!

That meant... he was alive!

Shin smiled. "Congratulations, Mr. Son Goku. You have been granted new life. You are now among the living."

"Goku!" Chi-Chi looked at Son Goku in delight, tears gathering in her eyes. Overcome by emotion, she disregarded everyone around them, threw herself into Son Goku's arms, and began to weep.

Son Goku awkwardly comforted Chi-Chi, then turned to thank Shin. "Thank you, Lord Supreme Kai. But if you revive me just like that, will there be any problem with King Yemma?"

Shin said, "It's fine. If King Yemma has any objections, tell him to come see me. I'll speak with him."

"Oh, then that's good. After all, I could only return to the world of the living for one day because I asked King Yemma for leave. Now that I'm not going back, I was worried it would be hard for him to explain," Son Goku said.

"Don't worry. There won't be any trouble with King Yemma," Shin reassured him.

Son Goku was finally completely at ease.

After resolving Son Goku's matter, Shin turned his gaze toward Son Gohan and smiled. "Gohan, it's your turn. What wish would you like to make?"

Son Gohan scratched his head, not knowing what to wish for either. There was nothing in particular that he wanted. His only wish was to become a scholar, but that was something he wanted to strive for himself. There was no need to make a wish for it.

Seeing Son Gohan's troubled expression, Shin smiled. "Since you don't know what you want either, how about I decide for you?"

"Then, Lord Supreme Kai, please decide. I really don't know what wish to make," Son Gohan said awkwardly.

"Then how about I grant your family an inexhaustible fortune that will last a lifetime?" Shin suggested.

"What?! Wealth we could never spend in a lifetime?!" Chi-Chi's ears perked up as she cried out in surprise.

"Gohan! Make that wish! It's a great wish!" Chi-Chi rushed over to Son Gohan, placed both hands on his shoulders, and continuously shook her son, looking extremely excited.

Son Gohan was nearly dizzy from being shaken by his mother and hurriedly said, "That wish! Lord Supreme Kai, I'll take that wish. Please."

"No trouble at all. It's a simple matter."

Shin smiled and raised a hand. The divine power of Creation activated, and a mountain of gold was created out of thin air.

Everyone stared at the suddenly appearing mountain of gold, their mouths hanging open in shock!

Especially those who loved money—their eyes practically turned into the shape of coins.

"S-So... so much gold! I-Is all of this for our family?" Chi-Chi asked joyfully as she looked at the towering mountain of gold before her.

"But how are we supposed to carry such a huge mountain of gold home?" Son Gohan said with a headache.

"That's simple." Shin smiled and raised a hand. The divine power of Creation activated, creating another Spatial Ring.

Shin held the newly created Spatial Ring high. With a thought, the towering mountain of gold was sucked into the Spatial Ring.

Shin handed the Spatial Ring to Son Gohan and said, "The mountain of gold is stored inside this ring. Once you put it on, Gohan, you will naturally know how to use it."

"Furthermore, only you, Gohan, can use this ring. Even if someone else gets hold of it, they won't be able to access the wealth inside."

"Also, I placed a spell on the ring. As long as it is more than a hundred meters away from you, it will return to you on its own."

"You also don't need to worry about the ring being damaged. Even if you and Vegeta fused into Bejifan, you still wouldn't be able to leave the slightest mark on it with your full strength."

Son Gohan solemnly accepted the ring Shin handed him with both hands. "Thank you, Lord Supreme Kai."

Shin smiled. "No need to thank me. This is your reward for saving the universe. Compared to your achievements, this little reward is nothing."

"As another bonus, Gohan, let me ask you one more time. Do you want to come with me to the Supreme Kai Realm? I can guide your training. With your potential, as long as you receive proper guidance, your strength will soon far surpass your father's."

Everyone widened their eyes and looked at Son Gohan in disbelief. This kid was so highly favored by the Supreme Kai—his future was limitless!

Piccolo was so excited that he wished he could agree on Son Gohan's behalf!

"Gohan! This is a good thing. Hurry up and agree!" Piccolo urged anxiously.

Son Gohan looked troubledly at Uncle Piccolo, then at his parents and Videl. Finally, he looked toward Shin. His expression was hesitant, but after a moment, Son Gohan made up his mind and answered seriously:

"Lord Supreme Kai, thank you for thinking so highly of me, but my answer is still the same as before. I want to become a scholar! I'm truly sorry to refuse your kind offer once again!"

As he spoke, Son Gohan bent forward at a ninety-degree angle to express his apology to Shin.

"Gohan!" Piccolo gritted his teeth in frustration, looking as though he hated that Son Gohan was failing to live up to expectations.

Vegeta glanced at Son Gohan, a flicker of light flashing in his eyes as no one knew what he was thinking.
