Background

Several centuries before the main story, Crimson Radiance Star's powerful elites developed New Moon and relocated there. From the lunar settlement, they retained control over Crimson Radiance's political and economic lifelines while restricting its technology and external contact. 18

Centuries of separation turned New Moon and Crimson Radiance into effectively distinct Human Race civilizations. New Moon developed superior technology, martial standards, and access to interstellar information, while Crimson Radiance remained comparatively isolated. 49 123 155

Luo Ming returns to New Moon as an illegitimate Luo Family descendant, leaving Chen Yu behind on Crimson Radiance. His departure establishes Chen Yu's personal connection to the settlement and motivates Chen Yu to eventually follow. 39

During the Star Realm Inheritance, representatives of the Three Great Families arrive on Crimson Radiance to compete for the Human Race inheritance.
